Has anyone purchased puppies from this breeder?? My friend Brittani, put a deposit down on one of her puppies, and was told he would be a good Show Dog. She sent $500 as a deposit and was going to pay the rest in cash when she picked him up next week. Now, someone posted a thread using her account saying that she had a hysterectomy and was in the hospital for it right now, which is NOT the case. She has been in and out of the hospital all week for testing and has been in touch with Susie every day. NOW Susie is saying that Brittani is lying and is refusing to sell her the puppy BUT she says she is keeping the deposit. Is this legal?? And has anyone had this problem buying from her in the past? Brittani is extremely upset and I would like to know what to tell her! Anyone have any advise???

whoa - well, did brittani get anything in writing when she gave her the $500. i sure hope so!

otherwise, she's pretty much up the river.

susie can say, $500? what $500? you never gave me anything!

I am not sure I know they had a contract, but I don't know all the details about how the money was sent.

What does Suzie's contract say? Or did she sign one at the time she sent deposit?

Did she pay with a check? she could use this as proof of payment.

i know he was being sold with full rights to Brittani because she was going to show him and there was no co-ownership

You will have to find out if the contract states that the deposit is non refundable. If it does the she would have some trouble. Is it right NO, but it does happen. I would be rasin some H!!!

I don't see how the breeder can back out and not give the deposit back. If that were the case, we could all get rich just taking deposits on puppies we refused to sell. Kind of crazy.

Maybe there's more to this...? It just seems so odd.

so even with a signed contract she can take a deposit and then just decide not to sell the dog?? its not brittani backing out, its the breeder!

How old is the puppy? Has she been holding on to the puppy for her? Something else must be going on that maybe you don't know.

someone is telling Susie that brittani is not who she says she is, even though brittani has sent her drivers license, has spoken to her a million times, and has sent copies of stuff with her address and bank account information to prove its her! If susie had issues with Brittani than she should not have taken the deposit! brittani has booked plane tickets and everything! She said picking up her new puppy has been the only thing keeping her going!

I know you want to help your friend but it sound to me like this Brittani needs to contact the breeder to discuss things with her.

thats why I am trying to find out who has bought puppies from her before, if anyone has. She says that she has sold puppies to people here, but no one seems to want to speak up for her.

I can't comment on this breeder as I do not know her, but this seems to be very much like a thread in the yorkie showing forum, from April 1, titled "Finding a Show Puppy?"

I just read that entire post, and I think Brittani went ahead with the purchase even after other peoples warnings, so I guess its her own fault for getting scammed... Sad to think that there are YT's that will scam other people on here.

Yes, Baby Brizzy, aka Brittani has a thread where she went in for emergency hysterectomy in the Special prayer requests posted by her BF. All the while she is emailing, and calling Suzie within 5 minutes of the time her BF posted she was in emergency surgery.
She sent a deposit that Paypal said was fraudulent. and now says she has wired the money to Suzie's bank account, but it has not showed up in her account.
There is also many, many more indescreptencies in the phone calls and emails.
SUZIE IS NOT KEEPING HER DEPOSIT, ASSUMING SHE EVER RECIEVES IT.

There is much more to this story.

so do I. I just got off the phone with the local police department and found out that Susie has told them that she lives here, and that SHE gave BRITTANI money for a puppy, NOT the other way around.

Then why did she ask me to call the Taylorsville police department on her behalf and tell *my* story? She gave me the case number...would you like it?

You are right, there is ALOT more to this story, BRITTANI has talked to Susie every day, even when susie calls at 3am. Paypal tried to take out the deposit 4 times from the account which caused it to flag as fradulent. I am on the phone with Brittani right now! Chuck, the one who sent Susie the deposit in the first place, has offered to call Susie numerous times to confirm her story. Brittani also has sent susie the receipts from the wire transfer AND copies of her bank statement that SHOW the money was sent to Vincent Allor, who I assume is Susies husband. Brittani has done EVERYTHING she said she would, SUSIE has not!

Why would the police department tell YOU that? Those matters aren't usually disclosed to the general public.

SUZIE told them no such thing!

I would bet that you are probably Brittani herself. If not, and she is so upset, why isn't she posting?

I would also be more than happy to provide the police officers name and number I just spoke with! Susie is scamming brittani out of the $500. I am about to go into her email right now and copy the email that she sent Brittani that states she is keeping the deposit!
