So they really get that intense they don't even eat ? Yikes - how do you cope ? I have a ton of patience but still.... |
OMG Radar loses close to 2 pounds when there is a bitch in season here at the house it's NUTS!! He doesn't shut up for at least 2 1/2 weeks. I have to actually take him to the radio room my husband had built in the garage for some down time and even then Radar doesn't relax! Only time he seems to settle down is at night time when we are sleeping. He has to sleep in his crate and I'm glad right now I don't have a bitch at home that can come into season LOL...I know that will change eventually but at least it's calm for now LOL Donna |

Your girl should be fine. do you know how long apart was each males tie with her. because both could of got her prego and some pups may be older then the others is why i asked, If they both mated the same day or next all should be ok, but you will still need the DNA to tell who belongs to who. Make sure you keep both males separated while shes in heat they could start fighting over the female and one could end up really hurt or worse. You should also skip a heat here and there. not healthy for mom to have a litter every year. I know you must have your hands full cause I know how the little males can get. and yes 10 months is old enough. |
Try the vets you could take the male to the vets and have his sperm checked to see it's mature enough yet, it would be cheaper than the DNA tests. If it's not mature sperm then no puppies at least from him. good luck |

I have so much respect for breeders! I experience an unaltered male going beserk for a female last night for the first time and it was a mad house (and it made for an awkward dinner party). The best part was that the female was SPAYED--so I am sure that the even was not as intense as when the female is in Heat. |

Sorry about the baby getting her but yes a 10 month old can sire a litter. I had that happen about 6 yrs ago with a 8 month old boy..never showed a sign of mounting or anything and I would check my girls twice a week and saw nothing. Let them out to play in the yard and little 8 month old was tied to one of my girls in the amount of time it took me to get across the yard!! Only tie they did and ended up with 3 pups!! Lesson learned for me and I am sure for you. Having more than one intact male and a bitch in heat does not a happy home make!! My boy goes off his meals a week before the bleeding begins! He loses about a pound and whines and howls for the girl. I feel so bad and have tried the calm down with little success on him. I end up pushing the Dyne and canned food with liver and steak for a few weeks till things settle down.. |
