On-Line Breeders i have a friend who's ready to buy a yorkie pup yesterday! she's seriously considering buying from on-line breeders www.puppyfind.com and www.yorkiepup.com has anyone dealt w/these people before? and how was your experience? thank you in advance. |
puppyfind is not one breeder its where breeders go to advertise and there are some good and bad ones there you just have to be very careful and i dont know anything about yorkiepup ive heard there pup cost ALOT! good luck:D |
And not much of a health guarantee to speak of! Be really careful - seems to have pups born every month or so! |
I would say DEFINATELY "NO" to yorkiepup.com. They overuse the word "teacup." They also have WAY too many puppies available which makes me think they could be getting them from a puppymill. I would NEVER send away from a puppy because you don't get to see what the parents look like or exactly what you're getting. Sometimes they send a pup that doesn't look like the pics. One person I talked to bought a pup and it's brown turned to white and it was really half maltese. Another thing about getting a puppy out of state is that in the event that they don't give you your money back you would have to travel to their state to press charges. So in short it looks like they pump out alot of puppies with the sole need size and possibly not health or tempmnt. I would recommend really meeting with the actual breeder in your area. good luck! |
I am pretty certain yorkiepup is Jeff Danes website and he has had alot of complaints about sick puppies. I would steer clear of them. |
site I did not read passed Teacup, Toy and Standard..the breeder has divided Yorkies unto 3 catagories..something the English and AKC have not done as yet. |
a member here on Yt got her male yorkie on puppyfind I spoke with her she ha da good experience with the buyer but as someone else said puppyfind is not just one breeder. |
I perosonally will not buy puppies from www.yorkiepup.com |
pup Puppyfind.com is a large advertizing web site for breeders from all over the world. Some may be wonderful breeders, other not..you have to sort through them and talk to their vets, get references and health guarantee (one year). |
thank you all so much for your replies. i had advised her to wait till i got more information about the breeders AND ACA. from what i understand ACA is reputable but not quite as well recognized as AKC. nevertheless, she purchased a puppy. she's seen her baby's picture on the web only. i told her i believe there's still time to stop payment on the credit card. no contract was signed. the owner of the site said he's sending the contract w/the puppy. i've got a really bad feeling about this. if you have any more advice i can pass along it would be greatly appreciated. ...to be continued. |

all guarantees were given over the phone contract unseen. he's given a one-year health guarantee. i told her to wait. she didn't listen. here's a question. does anyone know if a dog can be registered w/AKC and ACA? |
registries Many registries accept a pup for registration, no questions asked. AKC insists the parents be AKC, but ACA does not care. |

i told her to stop payment and she refused. i'm going to google his name and see what comes up. from this point forward she's on her own. she asked for advice. i gave her all the information i could gather but she bought the pup anyway. |
