Great seminar I attended one like this last year, with my mentor and it was worth every penny, I Learned so much and is great information. I highly recomended, I also attended a Myra Savant Harris seminar also a must attend, all about canine reproduction and newborn care. highly recomended also.

So its 20 bucks and i get to attend 2 seminars and 2 different shows ? Well 20 bucks and plus a donation. I found amtrak tickets for 108 for 2 ppl roundtrip !!!! and the hotel is only 220 and thats for 2 nights check in thurs check out sat :D I think i might be going to this

$20.00 for Friday
Thursday's Seminar is Free.

Now if I remember correctly I think show entrance is $5.00 or $10.00, but that includes a catalog. I've always shown a dog.....so, I don't pay.

Saturday Night is the YTCA Dinner in the Hotel......They say advance reservations but, you can always pay at the door. Fun, fun, dinner and auction. Great chance to meet breeders and exhibitors......

Wow! I'm jealous.....on your journey to become a breeder and your first outing is The National Club Speciality.....

im so excited i hope i can end up going it seems like its gonna be a killer experience and its in ny you can always find a reason to justify a trip to ny. Plus the hotel i got is in the chelsea mad sq gard area so its right next to the nyer

One more thing.....At times YTCA has The Illustrated Standard for sale.....if they do, buy it, I highly recommend it......it gives you a better understanding than the written standard.

Sometimes they do have them at the show.........

Oh! Gray Papaya's Hot Dogs is a block down from the NYer.....and they do take lunch breaks......

Hope to meet ya Colt in NY...that is if my flight isn't canceled and I don't make it until Thursday LOL...I'm planning on leaving Wed but a major snow storm is coming in AGAIN!!! UGH!

I KNOW UGH i hope that snowstorm doesnt screw me i have a few snow removal contracts so if it does hit and hits hard i may just have to take day trips up there the only thing that kills me is i might not be able to make the beginning of the show on friday and then its my 6yr anniversary on sat with my girlfriend so yea im sure most of you being women you understand she works till 4 on sat but i was thinking of taking her to ny right when she gets out mayb staying till sunday idk tho

We'll keep our fingers crossed for all of you. I wish I was going this year.

Friday is all puppies.......so, if you have to miss a show that's the one to miss, since the same puppies will be showing on Saturday & Sunday.

What a wonderfully refreshing thread! I am not a breeder, never will be, but I often come to this section to look and learn.

Congrats to the OP, on doing your homework and taking advice, and to our knowledgeable breeders for replying so graciously.

Well done to all and good luck to the OP on his future breeding program.:thumbup:

This thread is interesting. When I was first looking for Cerise I saw websites with the bug eyed Yorkies and I thought they looked very strange. Then I joined YT and learned a lot. Patience is the key to finding the right puppy for a pet too. So many people want the puppy so bad they skip the research and then come on YT for help after getting the puppy.

I would tell anyone to research, research, research....and then wait. Especially if you are going to go into breeding. There are enough bad breeders in the world already. Wait till you are confident you found the right one and not for just any one that comes easy, cheap or quick.

To the OP, that Super Bowl comment had me thinking you might be a man and I am happy to have kept reading this post and learned you are NOT going to breed your baby. Good luck with researching about what it takes to breeding the "Best Yorkies" and good luck with raising your pet baby girl!
