That is a good question if you had the tails done they should of done the dew claws also or at least asked.

If they still have them just make double sure you keep them trimmed as the get older to prevent the getting snagged.
I wonder if they can remove them when they spay/neuter?

I didn't dock their tails, we wanted to keep them natural, we are keeping the puppies within the family. One puppy will stay with us while Elvis is going to my cousin who has cancer and has been wanting to have a puppy to cuddle with... I know she and her kids will take good care of him and that they would bring him over to visit us often with playdates this way I get to see him grow with his brother.

Yes, they can do it at the time of a spay or nueter. In fact at any time they undergo anesthesia, it could be done. My Beamer had his done at 4 days old, but one grew back. The vet was able to remove it again when doing a dental. It is a bit more uncomfortable for them, but I would rather have them gone than risk getting them ripped off.

I agree and that is one of the reasons I go back and watch to make sure he gets all the way down to the root. I have a real good vet.

Just wanted to post a quick update on Bonnie's pups before February was over. They are all doing well and all are nice and plump. Their weights now (at 14 days) range from 6.8 to 9.2 ounces. The smallest girl opened her eyes today..so far she's the only one but I expect the others to say "Hello, World!" before the weekend's done.

Yes, they're so cute at this time...it's one of my favorite stages.

They're all gorgeous but I really like Diego. Love the freckles on his nose :). Is that typical with the partis?

I think we will have puppies soon. Zoe is due on St. Patty's day but I have a feeling that it will be sometime this evening or overnight. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

We have 3 boys! A 4th pup-a girl was stillborn :( Everyone seems to be doing well. boy am I glad that is over! Is it just me that feels relieved when it\'s all over? I look forward to it, I think it\'s all a miracle but it scares the jeepers out of me. Does it ever get easier?
