And no - she did not come into heat because of the other girls. Something is up with her health. |

Even if one studies, genetics, breeding and whelping....there is more to study; canine behavior, training, grooming.....etc. |

Breeding is not my favorite thing to do. I do it very sparingly, because I hate that my decision may cause my girls difficulties. Nothing breaks my heart more than to see those contractions going through my girls.....their little bodies stretching and pushing..... I agree with coming into season so soon....there is definately something wrong. |

no i am not breeding the mix now. due to health and safety. who can not be spayed because of her health..BUT i did breed her 2 times. and i know that akc and other ppl do not like the mixes but i do and so do other people. i had no problem placing them before they were born. i am still asked for puppies... i know that the 6 month old is a no no..i was surprised she looked pregnant but the false part made since with his age. akc wouldnt have been involved since the female is not akc. i had a mistake with the yorkiepom 2 or 3 years ago and now while trying to keep the yorkies parted my son let them out..still my fault but still an accident i dont think it makes me irresponsible. i was in one room washing dishes and my oldest tells me the youngest let them out and they were stuck... yes i have kids but im home all day and i dont think i should give up what i love because of kids. this is my hobby and joy. i dont do it for anyone else. if my pet is in jeoparody then i will retire her and start anew. but that hasnt been established yet and i dont want her to breed until the next heat if its determinded safe. but i will be talking to the vet and will discuss whats best for her. at this time their advice was to wait...but i will talk further with them |

im not disagreeing with whats posted that i need to check dates |

Donna - I agree with you - just from my own experience. Hey, and I tried it, since I was an expert with yorkies before my kids came. I thought I could handle it! Wrong! I could not do it either in the end. So I took a break and now that my kids are all grown, I returned to my yorkies. For the betterment of the breed/dogs, I placed my dogs first always and myself last. |

my post is not about mixing and the debate on it and i mean this with all due respect please dont start a mix debate on this post. this is not what i intended the topic to be. |

I know how hard it is when you love this breed. I know how it feels. But sometimes we have to unslefish for our kids and our dogs. I wish you the best and hope you can do this. But it will the hardest thing you every did, especially for the safety of your dogs/pups. Kids are so fast! AKC - does home inspections and you can't have mistakes. Plain and simple. You also have to have all your dates right and everyting document. |

i have no problem confirming dates i do have paper work dont they only do inspections when you have certain number pets on the registry? i dont plan on being that big i like no more then 3 or 4 at a time. |

Yep, not breeding my girl again either. I do not want to risk it either again. I know - a finished champion and she finished in only 3 weekends with an extra major, but I have to do what is best for her. I would just die if I lost her! |

At one of my club's meeting we had an AKC rep. come and speak to us. She said expect them at any time. They have a book on line as to the guidelines breeders must follow and they also have the paperwork templates to help breeders document everything. You can use your one documents too to keep breedings and litters straight too. There are programs out there too to help with documentation. |

We are not getting on to you to be mean, but trying to help. I think you have learned a lot today. |

I hope you go and get help for your girl and not just wait. Please be cautious with your dogs - no more accidents. |

I agree. Placing a pup is all about what is good for the pup. I see the end results of poorly placed yorkies day in and day out. Why people think that pleasing people is more important than the life of a tiny pup is beyond me. |
