How does the oil help their breath? Do you give all of your dogs cocanut oil for their coats or fro their breath? |
Quote:
start slow with the oil, if you give her too much she will get a loose stool, start with 1/4 teaspoon every other day and slowly bring it up to the normal dose, her breath will be very sweet in about a week....:) |

Added to the diet coconut oil can help slim overweight dogs, condition dry shabby-looking coats, offers some relief to painful arthritis or ligament problems, can help balance the thyroid, gives dogs a natural source of energy and helps keep dogs smelling better. My favorite use of coconut oil - improves digestion and nutrient absorption. I replace all oils in the doggy treats I bake with Coconut Oil. People have found with topical use their dogs ear infections improve, as do flea allergies, contact dermatitis, and other skin irritations. It's also been shown to help get rid of moles, heal sores and condition the dog's dry cracked feet pads. The oil can be applied to sores. It is slow absorbing so try to keep the dog occupied for several minutes after applying it. Try it on hot spots, sore foot pads, minor bites or even to clean ears. Coconut oil will deodorize anything it touches and will make your dog smell better when it's fed to him. Dogs love the taste of coconut and many will lick it off a spoon. It can be feed alone or mixed in dog food. Start very slow. Work up to a teaspoon a day for each 20 pounds of body weight. If you notice greasy stools cut back the oil for a few days. The oil will help detox the system so it's important to go slow and over several weeks work up to the full doseage. Check this site for information. All-Natural Virgin Coconut Oil |

The coconut oil really works! Thanks so much! Now another question.. The pups are now 4 weeks old, 5 on Sunday and well they are slowly starting to eat wet(dry) food... and also drink mammas milk.. They do however have problems pooping they are really constipated and takes forever to poop:confused:.. What can we do to make it easier for my young girls to poop? They dont really drink water yet.. Been trying to teach them how but not easy at all.. Any help suggestions are welcome.. |

Dogs do not lay on their backs with their legs in the air..lol.. whenever my dogs whelp they sit up while pushing, it makes it easier for them to bare down. And the 2nd one bugged me because she wasn't pulling the sacs off the heads or suctioning. And OMG those were HUGE puppies!! |

When I brought Daisy home she would not drink water. I put some in a teaspoon and she would lick the water from the spoon. Just a thought:) |
congrats on your beautiful healthy girls! so very sorry you lost your lil boy :( are they still having trouble going poo? I'm pretty sure it's because of the Royal Canine for Yorkies, unfortunately, that is causing this. If you switch them over to a good puppy food, they will hopefully start going poo easier. Good luck & please post some new pics of those gorgeous pups & their proud mommy & papa:) huggies & snuggles, Angie & the spoiled brats |
