The breeder then said that the papers had been in her van when it was broken into and the papers were stolen. So again I contacted the CKC to enquire if she had notified them of the stolen papers. miracously the papers showed up in my mail box the following week. The CkC takes these matters seriously .

The CKC is very adamant the papers must ALWAYS be transferred to the new owner at no additional cost to the buyer and also regardless if this is a pet with nonbreeding rights or show dog. According to the regs of the CKC, the registration certificate belongs to the dog so goes with it. Transfer must be done no later than six months after the date of purchase unless you have a contract that says spay/neuter first then the new owner gets the papers then the breeder must transfer to the new owner once verification is received for the spay/neuter as outlined in the contract but that has to be in a written contract.
I have never had a problem with the CKC if something does go wrong with the registration certificate such as lost or stolen. With the submission of an affidavit from the breeder, they will issue a duplicate so it can be transferred to a new owner.

Hello I have a puppy from Judy. THere is nothing bad about her bredding small yorkies contrary to some peoples opinions. She has shown her foundation sires and moms who are award winning blood line yorkies. Yorkies are 3 to 7 lbs standard. So she has 4 to 4.5 lb moms and 3 lb dads and ends up with a 2.5 lb dad and breeds with 4 lb mom and most her pups are 3 lbs. Nothing bad about that at all. She has a long line of show dogs award winners and small parents so her puppies range from 2.5 lbs to 3.5 full grown....lately with such small dads, the puppies are coming out at average of 3 lbs. Occassionally as with ANY litter of ANY breed you get a runt of the litter. A runt of a tiny then would be 2 to 2.5 lbs. THis would be rare as with any litter. She does NOT ever torture small moms she will not even breed a mom under 4 lbs and chooses dads very carefully to ensure pups will not be too big to deliver. Prices are high for such small pups because they are rare. Her prices are higher because they are award winner blood line. If you look on line other breeders charging same price for same size have big faces long noses homely faces big ears but Judy's pups are perfect in all features. Prices of hers range according if the pups of the litters are average, large or the rare runt being smaller and more rare. Judy is a fabulous lady who love animals, has parrots and treats her dogs and puppies like her own children. I would recommend her pups and her services to anyone and her pups are worth the price. She has a no breeding policy unless otherwise agreed because of her perfect bloodlines. She currently has adorable Joey and Bobbi available for xmas small males . She also just had a litter with one extra small male. If you are interested in a perfect compact beautiful foundation sire this is the perfect place to get one. Anyone who says anything else is not educated with her or her pups or her services and just talking out of their ass from opinions of other breeders concerning small pups or mills

Let me seeif i understand this right. You werein Bostons and had them shown by a handler ergo should know your way around the show world or were you actually involved? and you would consider buying a puppy there based on the info on the site. Now that is interesting to saythe least.

Anyone who does not agree with you on your review of this breeder will disagree because they are EDUCATED ABOUT YORKSHIRE TERRIERS.

Truly this site is not really for looking for breeding bitches or studs. I am not sure how you got started in Bostons, but here I usually say, go to the shows. Meet the breeders; build a relationship with them, study the lines. Join your local Yorkshire Terrier Club - if there isn't one, join the local All breed Club or Toy breed club.

Lorraine who has posted on this thread is located in B>C. I'm not sure how close to you. But I think she would be a good resource to find out about the local/provincial YT scene.

I wish the AKC enforced this also!

The pet only no papers or with breeding rights is ridiculous to me.

I am also EDUCATED on yorkshire terriors, 25 years. You ladies are talking "opinion" based on "some" bad breeders, mills, dogs bred too small, mothers forced to have puppies who are too small etc....not facts of particular breeders or their dogs/pups. I was advising all that Precious Yorkies has healthy, beautiful, award winning dogs/pups. My comment was to the woman who say "oh she is breeding small yorkies...not good."....giving a bad impression of her dogs or her breeding standards and sense. There is a HUGE difference Precious Yorkies and their dogs/pups compared to what that woman thought was "not good". People who assume things are not good is OPINION withOUT the facts as was also an assumption I am not EDUCATED on yorkies like someone who may respond. Postings on facebook or yorkie forums are supposed to be non judemental because people do not have any facts.....you dont use a public board to share your own uneducated opinions about a person or a business that you know nothing about. That is slander and be careful because that is a criminal offense. :)

Please look up the legal definition of slander and then where & when it applies...

Anyways some of the best breeders in Canda & America posted on this thread, as well people who have had direct contact with this breeder.

This forum is for sharing, and yes of opinions....

Please read the rules sections name calling is not permitted.

Hmmmm, broad opinion here, very thorough on your information; obviously, your quite connected to this person or are this person...anyway one should preface their review as "my experience with this breeder" and not condemn others. If you had a good experience share it, thats wonderful, but to infer that anyone who has had a bad experience, or has a bad opinion is talking out their "ass" as you so eloquently say, is just wrong. In my humble opinion. Also, she breeds for the market of folks wanting a pocket pooch, her tinies are not happenstance, she charges rediculous prices and in my opinion is not a breeder I would recommend.

lynzy420 12-09-2012 09:37 AM

One other thing, it is very impolite coming on to a PUBLIC forum and insulting well respected and established members; just sayin...your rudeness is not becoming of a new member....remember; first impressions are very important:D

gracielove 12-13-2012 05:37 AM

Interesting thread. Am I to understand that it is wrong to be of the "opinion" that the deliberate breeding for tiny Yorkies is not acceptable on YT anymore? I see more and more posts by people who object to those "trouble makers" who "stir the pot" by posting their adverse "opinions" about such breeders.

I realize this thread is old and has been seemingly reactivated by someone but since there are some well respected breeders here I wonder what your opinion is on the subject. I am not a breeder but I am adamint in my opposition of those who risk the health and welfare of any breed by irresponsible breeding practices. Yet, the trend seems to be more and more toward turning a blind eye to this type of thing. Maybe because of the influx of pet owners who prefer the tiny pocketbook pets?

I would never come against the owner of such a dog but when people start naming such breeders is it wrong to state the facts about bad breeding practices? Is an adverse "opinion" wrong to give? Is it a responsibility to warn people of the consequences of such breeding? Or is it more acceptable just to say nothing? Is it now more PC to accept the current trend to buy from those who exploit the breed for profit?
