| 3 little little boys My little female just had 3 boy pups on November 28. She is 4 pounds, dad is 2 pounds. Puppies weighed all around 3.5-3.8 ozs at birth. Any way to tell if they will be little like their parents? The vet said they are remarkable strong for being so little. Had the tails and dew claws done yesterday. Just curious... Thanks! Julie |

| Congratulations on your new litter. There is really no way of knowing how big the pups will be as adults. If you know the sizes of all the ancestors then sometimes that helps but still no guarantee. My first litter the mom was 5 lbs and the dad was 2 1/2 lbs and out of that litter most ended up being bigger than the mom. You will be able to tell more when the pups are 8 weeks old and even more when they are 12 weeks old. Be sure to post pictures in the when you get a chance. |
