One thing to consider is that your momma was just 5 lbs and she had 5 pups which is a pretty good size litter for her size. Sometimes in large litters the pups get crowded in the womb and they can sometimes can be underdeveloped internally and some just cannot make it, no matter how hard one tries. I will be praying for your little ones. | Thank you,
I know sometimes there is nothing you can do but I have never lost a puppy before. I have had tiny babies and even sick babies. You just think if you provide the best medical care and do everything the vet said to do and get up with them every 2 hours and and and :) that they will be ok.
Doing it all to the letter and still loosing them is hard. Last week I took the dying girl from her Mama and the next time I came in the room my girl jumped all over looking for her puppy. I sobbed like a fool the rest of the day.
I didn't handle it very well. I can't imagine loosing more of them no matter the reason and I know I shouldn't be but of course I am very attached after caring for them for 2 weeks. |
