I must have the greatest vet in the world. He is country vet and doesen't need the money he does it because he loves animals and people. He charged $30 for three puppies worming shots and weighing, plus checking them out thouraly. He has people coming all the way from Kansas City Mo to get neutered or spayed.I think you have to get to know your vet personally and if he is out to get rich find another one.He sat up all nite with my first yorkie that died from kidney failure and didn't charge me a penny. I wish more vets where like him. |

My mom used to go to a vet like this he had retired and he was in 2 or 3 days a week. He passed away a few years ago. |
Revolution Here in SoCal I take my boys to the local humane society for everything except emergencies, they do not handle those. It is $12 for an office/puppy checkup. They do not carry the Revolution, but will give me the prescription for it and I buy it at another vet's (too expensive for me) office. Their full set of shots was $60 a piece, I do the deworming myself. $25 per year per dog for their boosters. I had both boys neutered, pain meds, and microchipped with blood work for under $160 for two. Our local HS is staffed by volunteer vets and they do a great job. |
Therer are many places either online or maybe even in your own town (like Tractor supply) that sell the vaccinations need for your dogs. In my state, they do not allow owners to vaccinate against rabies. This is not something that anyone and everyone should be doing. There are three ways to give injections, muscular, Intervenus, and under the skin. You should never inject an animal if you don't know what your doing. You can seriouslu hurt him/her if you inject them in the wrong manor. |
