Any business with this breeder? I am looking to add a biewer boy to my family and came across this breeder on PuppyFind - xtremepups.com. She looks like she has nice dogs, but was wondering if anyone has dealt with her before spending $$$. Any info greatly appreciated. |
Congrates on adding a biewer to your family! You are going to love the breed :) Sorry, I don't know her although I have also seen the ads on puppyfind. |
They do have nice looking dogs. I Googled the phone numbers, since that is about all the info they give on the dog pages. The first number is for Lebanon Valley Cycles. Dick and Deb Sidle are the owners and I assume the dog owners also. I also Googled LVC, their names, and Xtremepups and found nothing said against them. Good luck in finding just the right baby. |
Actually she is a member of BTCA. They are breeding biewer terriers which they state is a combination of three breeds. If you are looking to purchase a biewer whose breeders are striving to maintain the heritage and standard as in the country of origin...I suggest looking here. Biewer Breed Club of America Inc. BBCA Good luck with your search and be forewarned...you can't stop at just one. |
Good Luck !! I don't have one , but they r beautful dogs bar@ulater!!!!! manina,miley:aimeeyork,max:aimeeyork |
Good luck in your search. Deb is right, you can't stop with just one. |
never heard of them, but I wish you luck in your search |
Thank you for the replies everyone. On the BBCA website there are no breeder listings. Google only brings back a few breeders. I know there have got to be more! I am not sure if I want to be involved in the controversy between the different clubs, so I may just stick with looking for an IBC breeder. But I still am doing a lot of research and just don't know yet. I don't want to offend anyone, but I just don't like drama! Any thoughts from the biewer people? I would appreciate your opinions. |

http://www.biewerbci.org/Members.htm You may be interested in reading the breed order governing breedings in the club also. http://www.biewerbci.org/Breed%20Order.htm There are lots of biewer breeders out there who do not provide health testing nor DNA parentage. Carefully research your breeder. Lastly the drama you mention is for the most part contained on this site. Good luck. |
I looked at her site, and I'm a little disappointed that she uses the words, "Home of Exquisite Biewer and Yorkie Terriers of High Quality with Baby Doll Faces and Champion Bloodlines." There are certain terms that I think better breeders avoid when describing their dogs, and Baby Doll Faces is one of them. |

Oh no, not teacups! I don't like the idea of a breeder pushing Holiday pups either! |
Dustmops - I am doing LOTS of researching and not only out to breed. I even said I was still doing lots of research in the post you replied to. I love the breed, think they are very beautiful and want to be part of it. Why the hostility? I am not going to go out and buy the first ones I see - I am going to do my part, buy from a reputable breeder, hopefully one from YT and do a good job. I am NOT in this for money, if that is what you are implying. I do not appreciate the disrespect. If I can't get answers from anyone off YT, then why was this site created? Why even be a member? Why does anyone ask questions? Thanks to those with opinions on the site - I saw those red flags too and thought the same things, but wanted others input as well. |
Urbnalbino....there is a vast number of reputable biewer breeders who are not members of YT and with very few exceptions the ones who are here...are members of clubs. I wouldn't limit my "research" to this one site. You are already working with a breeder...they can be a wealth of knowledge and can guide you. |
