Thanks Mardelin and chattiesmom for your kind words. I feel just awful about the little female dying, but I'm trying to stay strong. I just am amazed that it happened. Like I mentioned earlier, she was the most "active" pup in the womb. She'd kick and move and turn around ALL THE TIME!! I thought for sure she'd be the most vibrant and fiesty of the two. Sad. Very, very sad and tragic. | Yes, it is very, very heartbreaking. It's something that people who drop off a litter at the side of the road could never understand. When my Petunia died my sister and I, both grown women, cried like little babies. We put our hearts and souls into her and it's amazing how much it hurt. The fact that they are so tiny and helpless, yet so perfect, doesn't help.
But, thankfully you have little Uno and every day you will find yourself smiling as you watch him grow. My two remaining puppies are fat little babies now and I just love them so much. I'm not sure I'll be able to part with either one of them at this point. :) |
