I'm having a September Litter... Are YOU!?!
 

So I wake up this morning & Ya-Ya is HUGE- Litterally like one of the other ladies said, its from one night to the other! I am amazed! Hubby said he felt 2 balls & maybe a 3rd by her ribcage, but I still have my speculations, but this morning- what a difference. Imma do it like Lucky Lady did in August!

The first pic is of Momma to be, days before her 1st heat, Then thats her TODAY assuming Day 36 & the last one is Daddy 2 be!

What do you ladies think? Finally after weeks of doubting, Im thinking we really got some buns in the oven :)

Congrats!!!!!! I will be waiting patiently for September to come for Tayah to be bred. Although we will not have a September litter we will be hopefully expecting sometime in November!!!:)

rbelland- Good luck & if this is her 1st time, you'll be going nuts like me, Until this wkend! Its amazing to finally see at least SOMETHING!!!! I will keep everyone posted!!!

LOL!!! You will go NUTS every time!!! LOL!!!! You both will need to get some much needed rest after!! Get as much rest as you can now!!! If you can!!!

I was wondering... lil girl doesnt eat a 2nd meal & if i sit down & give it to her she wont eat, what can I entice her to eat as her 2nd meal??? Should I just add more broth to her food? Can I give her something else instead of the food??

Most breeders add some cottage cheese (1/8-1/4 c),1 hard boiled egg about every other day. My girl loves the egg scrambled or hard boiled. You can also try some chicken and rice. Good luck getting her to eat her second meal.

I'm not having a September litter, but am hoping for one in October. Keeping my fingers crossed. This will be my first litter with my Raeley and I'm praying that everything goes well. Good luck with your new litter that is coming. I'll be keeping an eye out for a puppy watch!

We got Bad news
 

So I finally took her to the vet this morning, Vet #1 was going to test with Relaxin, but after doing a check up & palpating she said she didnt think she was pregnant & didnt want to see my waste my $$, so she sent me to another vet that did xrays, that way we can know for sure & if so how many puppies right away.

So I went, that doctor also said she didnt think she was & offered the xray, but I declined, knowing now 2 vets said she may not be, why waste $$ that didnt need to be wasted at this time.

So we are left with the bad news. I am now going to look for a reproductive Vet in my area & look into what needs to be done.

I am really upset & was looking forward to having puppies, I just try to wonder, what went wrong, why didnt she come out pregnant? I guess next time.

Anyhow- Good luck to the rest that may be having a Sept litter. I will not stray, you ladies all give me hope! Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that. Palpation can only be done in a certain window of time though. How many days is she? It's possible you just missed the window of opportunity. Or perhaps there is only one or two. Sometimes a small litter can be missed.

In any case, I hope you figure things out. If she is indeed not pregnant, I wish you luck next time!

Well she would be about 6.5-7.5 wks pregnant... Im sure you can feel for lil balls... anyhow- everyone says how her breasts never grew out... I bred her on day 10, 12 & 16... she was still pinkish on the 16th & humping her toys... so I guess not... I wonder if it was stress, since this was an assist breeding. Who knows. We'll see what happens next time :(

We are expecting Sept 7-10. Bella went for a check up. Mommy got to excited and took her to vet. They laughed at me and said it was too soon. (oh well).

I thought I would bump this up for any September litters that are getting close.

I've got a litter due September 6th I was holding off on posting because I wasn't sure if she was pregnant but she's getting a pretty good belly now. The mom's name is Brandee she was 5 pounds before she got pregnant. The dad to the litter is Ch sired. I'll have to get belly pics later to post I don't have any right now, but I attached one of the mom and dad, the dad is the darker colored dog.

Let me first say I am sorry for your bad news> A while ago I thought our little girl was pregnant ( not planned fostering for rescue) and it turned out to be a false pregnancy. I was really disappointed but it was really for the best in our situation because we knew nothing about this breeding.... My point is I understand your disappointment again I am sorry.

We are expecting in early Sept again not planned daughter adopted her form pound defered spay because she was in season well low and behold we confirmed on Monday she is expecting at least three babies (xray confirmed) around Sept 8th. Excited but scared. The good news is that I heard the little heartbeats today. They sound like a real fast tic tic tic. It is really exciting.

Puppies on the way. Could be any day :)
 

Hi all,

I've been lurking on here for a while... mainly reading and absorbing all the great info. Then our little lady started swelling up like crazy - almost overnight! :eek:
We had planned on breeding our little guys but not until Mistletoe was over 2 yrs old... looks like Scrappy and Mistletoe had other ideas! All of a sudden she started swelling up and we took her to the vet. The vet said it was too early for an x-ray to show anything since the puppies bones probably hadn't formed yet but she was definitely showing all the signs.

Mary and I are nervous as this is her first litter.... and Mary is doing it alone as I'm stuck up here in PA! We've gotten all the numbers of the vets and the local animal emergency centers (Brevard County, FL) and she's got all the supplies and stuff... the whelping video was amazing (and a bit scary) - Mistletoe could have them any day now. Mary made a whelping box but Mistletoe started heading to the crate to sleep at night so sheets and stuff were put in there and that's where she has decided to be now. Scrappy (our 4 lb puppy mill rescue and the daddy) is SO jealous of the attention she is getting! Mary can't move 3 feet without both of them right on her heels (or the walk in front while looking back to make sure she's following bit) - and that was before Mistletoe was pregnant! I just wish I could be there for the big event!

We got x-rays and 4 puppies were outlined. The vet said there could be another one hidden from view but at least 4 are there. We're so excited!! It's getting close.... We're gonna be grandpetparents! :p

Here's a picture of Mistletoe before she got pregnant... she's an ox compared to Scrappy (I'll have to get some pics of him posted) - I would guess her to be around 6 to 6.5 pounds here. Scrappy is only around 4 pounds. The puppies are going to be absolutely incredible if their differences are blended... him with his long soft glossy hair and tiny and lean frame and her with her thick almost dreadlock like hair and longer body and thicker legs... both of them are on the smaller end of the yorkie scale and in great health. We love our babies!! :D

Could be any day? NOT!! IT'S TODAY!!!!
 

Mistletoe is having her puppies as I type this. So far we have two with at least two more on the way... no details yet as to m/f but the mom is doing ok and appears to be taking a break. How long do we wait before we get concerned? I've read on here that some went 12 hours between puppies... We're nervous as all get out!

We have 3 puppies now... still no details.... mommy still doing good.... more details and hopefully pics soon... Mary is doing great! :)

We're up to four healthy pups now.... I guess we wait and see if more will make an appearance or not.... so far so good! :) :animal36

I hope the mommy is doing well... I was surprised that our Mistletoe had 4 so quickly... in a span of 3 hours... could be more yet so we're waiting.... I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Both mom and babies are doing great! 4 healthy babies and Mistletoe took care of everything! Mary carried her outside after 4 or 5 hours to go potty - mommy did NOT want to leave those puppies!! But she went and then made a beeline to get back to her babies and laid down and nudged them all towards her... Mary has been hand feeding her ice cream and Mistletoe is loving it. Scrappy came in to see what the commotion was all about and her and Mistletoe kissed :) She is such a good mommy. Mary is finally kicking back and getting some down time after all the stress and anxiety ;) I just wish I could have been there to share in it all....

Any more puppies after the brother and sister? (how can you tell when they are so small??)

Blossom is due on the 11th but I don't think she will make it, she is huge, we are going for xrays on Friday:D

you asked how you can tell if there are more sometimes you can feel their
heads and sometimes they move, i just rub their sides gently & sometimes you can feel them.

she might suprise me with another but i think she is done

Lacey our shih tzu mix is due around the 8th I think. Maybe sooner. The waiting is driving me crazy. Her temp goes up and down, she is big and lazy and she has milk..... I am thinking any day:)

Actually I'm embarassed to say... I was talking about telling the difference between a male and a female when they are so teeny... maybe I need 5x reading glasses and a spotlight ;)
