| 4 weeks Pregnant and not Eating?? Hi, My Maisey is not eating....ive tempted her with chicken, scrambled eggs, and she is just not interested. | Roxie still has this issue, and it's been going on for a couple of weeks! She is 6 weeks along now. She flat out refuses to eat her food unless I mix a bit of eggs and cottage cheese in it, and I'm going to have to stop the cottage cheese soon, so I don't know how she'll react to that. Sometimes I have to hand-feed her because she won't touch the food bowl. I know there are dog gravys out there, are those any good for pregnant mamas? I hear they make dry food taste and smell better, for picky eaters. ? |

| I've got that problem too. Doesn't matter what I try. I've been spoon feeding. Feels like I'm feeding my human babies... I've had girls going off food about the 3rd week.....but this is forever.

| Pregnant and not EAting Thanks for your comments, at least i know im not the only one with the same problem. I have read that it could be the dam adjusting to all the changes in her body and she just goes off the food. But wat was interesting, is that u both said u hand feed - My Maisey wont go near her bowl and i to have to handfeed!!! I suppose its just finky and fussy girls - typical Yorkie! My other girl Marnie, woolfs her food down when she is pregnant, and everybody elses if she gets the chance. I do hope things improve and they all get their appitites back in the next week or so. x |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Halle is just about 6 weeks along now and though she is eating better, she still isn't eating as much as I think she should be, being PG and all. She pretty much refuses to eat kibble........even when I coat it with canned, she seems to be able to lick the canned off and spit out the kibble. I've also been mixing in boiled chicken; she'll usually eat that. Maybe she's not eating as much as I think she should cuz she's only got one baby????.......or maybe different mamas need different amounts?????........or maybe I'm pushing too much food on her and she's eating what she needs.

She won't eat it off the spoon, I literally spoon it in her mouth. A baby spoon covered with a rubberized coating. I don't think it's them not wanting their food. I think it's a harmonal thing and they've lost their brains.

| Oh, my... I'm so glad I found this thread!!!! My Cheecky is about 6weeks PG (1st time)and She hasn't been eating in her own since 1st week and it's been driving me crazy. I searched YT for weeks and couldn't find other PG yorkies with same problem... Finally, today I found you guys I tried everything homecooking(chicken, sardine, egg, cottage cheese, sweet potato, oats, pumpkin, flex oil),all kinds of wet puppy food(I tried at least 12different brands)and baby food... no luck at all ... What works for me is syringe feeding wet puppy food(only way she won't spit it out) However, I'm not sure how much I should feed her / half or whole can a day?- she's 6lb and now about 7lb... Funny thing is that she loves to eat carrot, blueberry, celery,cucumber... Can she possibly be one and only vegetarian yorkie?

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I am having the same problem. I can't get her to eat hardly anything. She is due in 15 days and I am worried. She has been like this for over a week. I can get her to eat a little chicken thighs..not breast, chicken lunchmeat, baby chicken sticks and that is about all and this is not alot of it either.
