| We are done! I am so elated, they ALL made it! After so long and a lot of green discharge after the third we did not expect the 4th to make it. I was so excited when the sack was hanging out and I could see him moving! 4 yes I said 4 BOYS. Everyone is settled in a clean bed and Honey has has a bowl of canned food and 2 bowls of replacement milk. She is a total mess with blood and mess on every part of her body including the top of her head. She is sound asleep and all babies are feeding well! I can not believe how vigoris every single one of them is. Things were so crazy that my record keeping was crap but I did get the weights at least. LOL #1 5.7 ![]() #2 4.7 #3 4.5 #4 4.7 I was so mortified over the behavior of that vet! I can not believe how he acted and worse yet can not imagine how he has managed to stay in buisiness as long as he has here. I guess when you are the ONLY choice that's how you manage to be as much of an ass as he was tonight and still stay open. I want to rigister a complaint but since he is the only emergency vet and affiliated and I think even co-owned with my vet here that I may cause myself more trouble by burning the only bridge I have to care here. Unbelievable! ![]() ![]() I am not even sure if I can complain to my vet here as I think they are related, I think it is a family owned thing between both offices. I pray I NEVER have to deal with him again! Any ideas on how to handle him will be greatly appreciated. I knew when I went there last week that I didn't like him but NEVER thought he would be as bad as he was.If it weren't for YT and Deb I am possative we would have not had the outcome that we did. Thank you will never be enough Deb and everyone else that took the time to be there for us. Thank you Thank you Thank you! Now, I think I will wait for my husband to get home sometime around 8 and for my daughter to get up before I try to sleep just because I am afraid to leave them unwatched. We all worked way too hard to let anything happen to Honey or those babies now.

| WOOHOOOO, 4 BIG boys!!!! That wasn't really too long. They need to rest a little between births. They need energy for that pushing. Mother nature often knows what she's doing. If you have to ever tie their little cords, dental floss is great, no slipping and so easy to handle. Isn't it amazing how they know what to do? First time Mommy and she is nursing and doing everything she is suppose to do. She's a good little girl and your a good 2nd Mommy. I wish you could give her a little shot of pit/ox. Helps clean the uterus out of any little debris left in there. So happy for you. Now get yourself some sleep, just like Mommy is doing. Hugs to you Carol and Jemma |

| Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | (Big sigh of Relief) I was so sad to have to go to bed when I did last night. Seeing that things were starting I was hopeful that I would be here for moral support through the whelp. Silly me should have known better that they don't normally go that quickley. As I read through my "unread posts" just now I was on pins & needles and breathed a sigh of relief to see the happy ending. Those were some pretty big babies for a 5lb mama, no wonder her belly was so big! Did she have any problems getting them to pass? Did they all arrive in the normal position? I am getting ready to go through a pregnancy & whelp myself (hopefully ) and I am taking in any information/experiences I can find.Congratulations to you and Honey on the birth of those 4 boys! I am very anxious to see pics of the beautiful family after you've all had some rest and get Honey cleaned up. I am sure Honey feels so much better & now you can relax and enjoy watching these little ones grow. Big hug for all Also, everyone!

Just in case this hasn't been mentioned. Take your girl in for a POP shot this morning. If there is any tissue, placenta, etc left in your girl, it will assist to get it out. It also helps let down her milk.

| Just getting up and checking on things. Wanted to say Congrats on your new family of 4 boys. Honey did a great job and I'm glad all went smoothly. As far as the emergency Vet goes, even tho he's a jerk .. and you'd like to give him a peice of your mind. I wouldn't. You are restricted because they are the only ones around your area. I'd just tell your normal Vet you called him and was uncomfortable with the advice he gave. So, you contacted a long time breeder who guilded you through the whelping process. And it didn't cost you a cent... ![]() Mardelin gave a good peice of advice if all placenta's were not delivered I would take her in for a clean out shot. And Great Job Deb for staying up and helping out !! |

| Good job Honey, Congratulations. What a great little family we have here that we all pull together in a time of need like this. I love this site more and more every day. I am so glad I could be here to be part of this birthing process. It was amazing to watch and wait.
