Bless your heart for taking her in. Some people don't deserve to have animals. I went to look at a little 1 yr. old 2.2 lb yorkie about a month ago. She was not exactly what I wanted (I wanted a black/tan) but she was just skin and bones and I felt so sorry for her and brought her home. She is so sweet and in a weeks time had gained to 2.8 lbs. I have not taken her back to the vet but I'll bet she weighs 3 lb now. I hope you keep this little dog and show her the kind of love she was misssing.:animal-pa |
OMG ... you're her angel! |
Hello yorkie talk family Well she had two puppies this morning. They were huge and the vet said they were pitbulls. She had a c-section but she is doing fine. She has also been spayed. I have named her Heaven because only a micracle from above could have brought her in my life. The puppies are with me as I am bottle feeding them because Heaven is recovering and they are way too big for her to nurse. I love her so much already I don't know what to do. Chanel and Armani gets along great with her. Thanks for all the concerns. I will post photos off her later on in the week. |
Wow, Pit Bull, huh? She is so lucky you found her. Can you even imagine if she was able to get out of the can, she still would have been in a lot of trouble having that size pups, it wouldn't have been good. I hope you and Heaven and those York/Bull pups (?) do great with the new future they have thanks to you! Bless You ! I would say that if she begins to nurse them, I would let her do so. It will probably be enough milk at least for the first few weeks. Some Yorkies are able to nurse 6 pups, so 2 big ones will equal that. It might get to the point where she can't supply enough but let her mother if she wants to. |
oh wow that poor mommy. pit bulls huh? i wouldn't try to guess breeds yet as they are new borns and may totally change as they get older. Lots of puppies look like pits when they are tiny and look completely different in a few months. i'd let the mom nurse them a little if she wants to this way the pups get the colostrum from her. They will definitely need bottle feeding but mom has things a bottle doesn't. Can't wait to see pictures of mom and the pups! |

pitbulls? Im with the others on this one. I think a lot of pups can have the square heads making them look more like pitt./ even like a boston terrier or some thing. they may look different when they get a little older. I also would let mom clean sleep with and care for her pups after shes feeling better and just keep a close eye on them and mom.how much did the pups weigh? what color are they. m/f ? You would think that if a Pitt got her she would have some damage or tear from the breeding of such a big dog. I also don't understand how the vet saw 7 with x ray. with 2 large pups they should of showed up pretty clear on film. Im so glad you found her she would of died from being in that bag and even if she did get out im sure having such large pups would of killed her. bless her heart I hope she heals fast and enjoys her life. cant wait to see pictures of mom and pups. |
what a great vet. not many would do that. you going to have spay? people can be cruel. just a dog to them. |

~Glad to hear Heaven is doing good, and the pups as well. What a happy ending. Glad she got spayed. Do you plan on keeping her? What about the pups? I still to this day don't understand how some can discard an animal like trash, and pregnant at that. She truly is Heaven sent :) And you are her Angel. :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
wow congrats on the liter and the vet thinks pit bull...oh my you did her a wonderful thing...she would have been in some pain...post pictures of her and the puppies when you have the chance |
WHAT????? A pit and a yorkie? Geesh, poor girl! If she is heaven then you are definitely her angel! |
Wow! I'm so glad you went to the park at the right time....so sad what that person(s) did to her.....I hope they have bad luck for a long time for doing what they did. Congrats on the pups...I also think it's too early to really tell what they are. It's hard to even imagine a Pitt getting to a yorkie but I guess it could happen:confused: Anyway, only time will tell but for now, I'm glad she has 2 healthy pups & they are lucky to have you! Please keep us posted. |
Congrats on a successful birth! And please tell your vet THANK YOU from all of us here on YT. I wish there were more vets like yours. You truly are an angel for saving her from such misery. I can't wait to see photos of her and the pups. I'm sure your hands are full right now, but was there any follow up to trying to find the original owner and punish him/her? |
So happy to hear Mama and babies are doing fine. I love the name you gave her, "Heaven". Bless you and your Vet. Darlene |
