Also, you need to take notes from Mardelin and just simply make suggestions and offer advice. Not pass judgment on a person character. |
every time you post your story changes:eek: Happens once ok, happens twice thats a shame! |

Again I say, if you don't want someone commenting on certain aspects of your story, don't make them public. Anyone who allowed their dogs to breed, conceive, carry and deliver a litter is a "breeder" by every definition of the word. The more you share about your friend, the more concerning the situation becomes. I cannot even fathom breeding a dog that was "rescued." :( |
Just to add...there was a thread posted recently about why breeders don't offer advice and help out in this section anymore....this thread is a perfect example of why. :( |

ATTENTION: To anyone that wants to be negative towards me for trying to seek answers, please do not reply to my post. This is becoming crazy. Let's stick to the quesion at hand for goodness sake. |

I'm going to try and say this in a nice way, as I don't want you to think I'm jumping down your throat for something your friend did. If she thought the dog was spayed, then, I understand that this was an uh oh. but she is wanting to breed her again, and this dog was a rescue. How do you know this dog hadn't had pups before? How old is this dog and how much does it weigh? The reason I'm saying this is the dog had maybe had a lot of litters before, it could have been a puppy mill pup. Yorkies should only be up to 7 lbs etc. the thing is, you want to better the breed. I'm going to start breeding biewers in a year, I'm taking the time to learn as much as possible before I ever breed her. I want to make sure the bitch is in good health and has been tested before I ever breed, I want to do things the right way. The thing is, this dog was a rescue, she really should be spayed. |
Hey, Have some respect, don't call people idiots! got it! |
Hey guys....lets stop, before it gets out of hand. I'm not sure of the complete situation. Yes! but, this person is, I think attempting to stear her friend in the right direction. She may not agree with what her friend is doing, and asking our help in doing this, so as a group we can accomplish that, yeah! And if she can't, well so be it. Let's take baby steps. From what we gather, the female isn't in Season, so we have time. |
You are right Mardelin. I believe that she is truly trying to help her friend out. To the OP, you seemed upset that people were making judgments on your friend, yet you didn't understand why. My post was merely meant to explain to you what the more trained eyes were picking up on so that you would understand. In addition, I mentioned things that your friend had obviously not considered as well as how she should continue to educate herself on breeding if she plans to continue, as you stated she does. I think that many of the things she did so far WERE responsible--taking time off to stay with the pups, for example--other, maybe not so much. There is always rooom for improvement, but how would anyone ever know if the advice was not offered and you were not given a different perspective? Obviously I have greatly offended you as you have been reduced to quite rudely insulting me. For that I apologize....but, I can assure you, I've been called worse. :p I think that everyone here truly has concern over the best interest of your friend's little one FIRST, and yours and her feelings just come second. (Based of the information that you have given, in my honest opinion, it would be in the best interest of the dogs if the female were not bred again.) Sorry. But it is a Yorkie forum...that's the way it's suppose to be. |
Biance, let me tell you something, I am 45 years old and I'm not sure if you just thought that you were talking to one of your childrend, but I think that you need to ease up. I have much respect for individuals that are respectful. You give it--I give it. I will sometime turn the other cheek and let it go, but this is ridiculous. It really frustrates me that this has gotten to the point that it has gotten to. I only asked a question on behalf of my friend. Granted, I got the timeline screwed up regarding the MIA male dog, but for those individuals to PASS JUDGMENT on someone WITHOUT knowing the FULL DETAILS, I would say that that was DISRESPECTFUL. |
To the OP, breeding is always a sensitive subject and there are reasons for that - primarily because people care deeply about this breed. We are glad you are here seeking advice for your friend - and luckily, you are receiving advice from breeders who have incredible integrity in their breeding programs. It may be hard to hear some of what they're saying, but I'd ask that you do try to listen with an open mind as they *truly* want to help you, your friend, and this little dog. I would also ask that even if you disagree with a post, you refrain from personal attacks - it just won't be tolerated here, okay? This is a public forum, and people are sharing their opinions regarding the information you've posted - and though some of those opinions may trigger some emotions, we just ask that you respond to them respectfully. Thanks! And I'm hoping for the best outcome for this situation. :) |
