I weighed her this morning and she is 2 7/8 from her normal 2 3/4 the past few days
I attempted to give her some goats milk last night by bottle and then by syringe. Neither went over well. She is suckling on mom.

I had a little one like that about a year ago. She didn't start to really gain until she hit 3 or 4 days old. We also waited until she was 5 days to do the dew claws and tail docking. She is a happy healthy dog today, but she did gain weight slowly and has remained on the small side.

Wow I never do my tails or dew claws before 5 days old and even longer if its an ity bity you could put the baby in shock. I get a lot of these little guys and as long as they are nursing and her belly is full she should be fine. As I read some people say before I might suppliment her a few times a day. I make up a solution of 1 can evaporated milk 1 can water, couple tbls. spoons Kero syrup and a raw egg yolk. I also us Nutri Drops by Pet it is wonderful to have for these little ones. I used to let the others nurse after I made sure the little one. He was barely 2oz. when he was born. He was so tiny all of the others were really plump and you could see his little ribs. I took them all to the vet the day they were born. and the vet said If i could keep him alive for the first week. He should make it he is now a year and 1/2 and whopping 7 lbs. and doing great. And we waited to do his tail and dewclaws till he was 10 days old. and the other 5 were done at 3 days. Needless to say all the sweat and tears i put into him he stayed with me:)

I am glad to hear she is gaining some weight. Sounds like she'll be fine!:)

Thanks for all the help! She is 3 oz and I have given her supps twice a day the past few days. If she makes it, she stays with me. I am in love with her. Her name is Halo now. :)

Cute name. We called our's Amazing Grace. Gracie for short. Glad to hear she is gaining.

I tell you what it sounds to me like she is going to be just fine. I have found over the years if those little ones make it past the 13th day they are going to be just fine. I will be praying for her. What a great name!
