i am shipping two on Thursday from ky. to Boston. They told me as long as I have an acclimation statement from my vet down to 32 degrees, they will go. Actually, some of the airlines let it go down to 20 degrees but not my yorkies. |

I understand that there are puppy mills, but to go so far as to say that everyone selling puppies online is linked to a puppy mill is a little far fetched. |
Well. u made this statement : " I checked out her home, the puppies, the parents, etc." so u took the responsibilty to check out and go there before ..this person did not and many are not doing that and end up with sick pups costing $1000.oo on medical bills .. i think that is the point that was being made..just to go to a website and buy a pup ... it is best said like Forest Gump: Life is like a box of choclates u never know what ur gonna get inside... menaing... when u buy sight unseen a pup u kno wnot where it is or coming from and what it will be etc etc. It is really not a responsible pet owner :) or breeder under those conditions.. Insane to ship a one pound pup..that little one in cargo will die of fear if nothing else ... |

I would definitely back out of the sale right now. Call PayPal and file a report with them- they should be able to get your money back, or at least suspend her account, especially if they see that she is getting many complaints. (Which I'm guessing she would be if she was doing this to many people.) Also, if you paid with a credit card through PayPal, call that card company as well. (Even if it is just your bank.) They sometimes can help, other times, they can't, but it's definitely worth a try. If she was first saying they were ready for Christmas, and now for V-day, it sounds like she is really trying to appeal to the "gift givers" I know that we are trying to sell our two little boys right now, and I would never blow people off that were buying them- especially if they have already paid for them. I totally care about them, and would love to keep them, so I would do everything possible to ensure that they were going to a great home. Also, a one-pound puppy sounds extremely small. Our little guys are currently 1.5, and they are 8 weeks. I would never buy one that was smaller than they are. Our two girls are both around 3.5-4, and they are tiny. (fully grown.) I can't imagine a 1lb dog at 12 weeks (or at least old enough to go to a new home.) I know they exist, but I would be so worried about huge vet bills in the future. I hate to say it, but it does sound extremely fishy to me. I would pull out of the deal right now, and if she throws a fit about it, for sure get a lawyer involved. Good Luck, and update with any resolutions! |

To the OP...just so you are aware. Paypal will only reimburse what they are able to collect from the seller's account....which means not necessarily your entire purchase price. |
in my opinion there are 2 many holes in this story : u bought the dog a few months ago u were to get it by christmas ... u saw pix on other web sites they want extra money to deliver pup they are demanding payment or no pup u are now concerned of the health of pup u can forget about recourse with someone that does not want to hear u and a 1 pound pup ? when was that one born? if u bought it a few months ago and u saw pix of it on the web site? |
You can not file a dispute till you given this person at least two more weeks. Pay pal is really good at giving you back your money. I feel confertable when I pay. Call paypal and ask them if that person has any disputes against her, or how long that person is being receiving money through them. When a person has a dispute against them, their account gets suspended. the wait is long, but they will answer the phone. the phone number is to the right after you click contact us. Good luck. |
paypal says this: for item not received... Open a Dispute within 45 days of the date you sent the payment – then follow the online dispute resolution process described below under Dispute Resolution |

Paypal also states...should you win any dispute filed on a purchase outside of ebay this amount limited to the balance the seller has in their account. It's typed in bold under the user agreement. |
Are you sure this woman isn't scamming you. There are just too many ??'s unanswered!! :thumbdown |

Well, everyone already said some of the things I would say. I feel bad you are dealing with this. I would start the dispute either way with paypal, if it works out and you get your pup you can cancel it. Other than that I will just try to support you in the hard time your having without judging you. If it does not work out I would find a more reliable way to try to get a puppy. P.S. I can't imagine yelling at someone over the phone who just gave me a bunch of money, something isn't right with this lady. (but there are probably a lot of people out there that would have no problem scamming others) |
