i am shipping two on Thursday from ky. to Boston. They told me as long as I have an acclimation statement from my vet down to 32 degrees, they will go. Actually, some of the airlines let it go down to 20 degrees but not my yorkies. |

I understand that there are puppy mills, but to go so far as to say that everyone selling puppies online is linked to a puppy mill is a little far fetched. |
Well. u made this statement : " I checked out her home, the puppies, the parents, etc." so u took the responsibilty to check out and go there before ..this person did not and many are not doing that and end up with sick pups costing $1000.oo on medical bills .. i think that is the point that was being made..just to go to a website and buy a pup ... it is best said like Forest Gump: Life is like a box of choclates u never know what ur gonna get inside... menaing... when u buy sight unseen a pup u kno wnot where it is or coming from and what it will be etc etc. It is really not a responsible pet owner :) or breeder under those conditions.. Insane to ship a one pound pup..that little one in cargo will die of fear if nothing else ... |

I would definitely back out of the sale right now. Call PayPal and file a report with them- they should be able to get your money back, or at least suspend her account, especially if they see that she is getting many complaints. (Which I'm guessing she would be if she was doing this to many people.) Also, if you paid with a credit card through PayPal, call that card company as well. (Even if it is just your bank.) They sometimes can help, other times, they can't, but it's definitely worth a try. If she was first saying they were ready for Christmas, and now for V-day, it sounds like she is really trying to appeal to the "gift givers" I know that we are trying to sell our two little boys right now, and I would never blow people off that were buying them- especially if they have already paid for them. I totally care about them, and would love to keep them, so I would do everything possible to ensure that they were going to a great home. Also, a one-pound puppy sounds extremely small. Our little guys are currently 1.5, and they are 8 weeks. I would never buy one that was smaller than they are. Our two girls are both around 3.5-4, and they are tiny. (fully grown.) I can't imagine a 1lb dog at 12 weeks (or at least old enough to go to a new home.) I know they exist, but I would be so worried about huge vet bills in the future. I hate to say it, but it does sound extremely fishy to me. I would pull out of the deal right now, and if she throws a fit about it, for sure get a lawyer involved. Good Luck, and update with any resolutions! |

To the OP...just so you are aware. Paypal will only reimburse what they are able to collect from the seller's account....which means not necessarily your entire purchase price. |
in my opinion there are 2 many holes in this story : u bought the dog a few months ago u were to get it by christmas ... u saw pix on other web sites they want extra money to deliver pup they are demanding payment or no pup u are now concerned of the health of pup u can forget about recourse with someone that does not want to hear u and a 1 pound pup ? when was that one born? if u bought it a few months ago and u saw pix of it on the web site? |
You can not file a dispute till you given this person at least two more weeks. Pay pal is really good at giving you back your money. I feel confertable when I pay. Call paypal and ask them if that person has any disputes against her, or how long that person is being receiving money through them. When a person has a dispute against them, their account gets suspended. the wait is long, but they will answer the phone. the phone number is to the right after you click contact us. Good luck. |
paypal says this: for item not received... Open a Dispute within 45 days of the date you sent the payment – then follow the online dispute resolution process described below under Dispute Resolution |

Paypal also states...should you win any dispute filed on a purchase outside of ebay this amount limited to the balance the seller has in their account. It's typed in bold under the user agreement. |
Are you sure this woman isn't scamming you. There are just too many ??'s unanswered!! :thumbdown |
YIKES !!!!!! No money! No pup ! |
This screams scam to me!!! |

Well, everyone already said some of the things I would say. I feel bad you are dealing with this. I would start the dispute either way with paypal, if it works out and you get your pup you can cancel it. Other than that I will just try to support you in the hard time your having without judging you. If it does not work out I would find a more reliable way to try to get a puppy. P.S. I can't imagine yelling at someone over the phone who just gave me a bunch of money, something isn't right with this lady. (but there are probably a lot of people out there that would have no problem scamming others) |
Sounds like an absolute scammer to me. I would initiate the dispute with paypal. She already broke the agreement by not shipping the pup the first date she told you. I usually use a credit card to pay things with my paypal account so I have a double net. Personally even if paypal will take that long I would call the credit card company. They don't like fraud and that is what that is. The person took payment for an item that they have no intention of sending. |
I did a lot of research before I purchased the dog. She does not have that many puppies to sell like a lot of other sites where you can clearly see they are puppy mills. She has two dames and one male posted on her site and only has one to three pups selling at a time. I talked to her a lot before I decided to buy the dog she sounded like a really nice woman we talked for about an hour at one time about the dog and the parents she was very nice to me then till she sent me a picture that I found on another site and asked her about it. She has sent me other pictures since that look legit I don't have many pet stores or yorkie breeders where I'm at and the ones I did go to they looked very sick one small poor baby was hooked up to an I.v and were still trying to sell her pet stores they usually get there dogs from puppymills. For they can buy them for cheap and sell them for top dollar. Idk buying a dog anywhere is just hard I did go to my local pet shelters but they did not have any yorkies. I mean I got my first yorkie from a very well known breeder wich I found a lot of good stuff about on this site. But she came with ringworm you just never know. |

Unfortunately, she has your money and you have no pup and the whole thing sounds fishy. So you need to get on that dispute and print and keep all the emails that transpired as they can be used as proof in your dispute. |

Not sure why but most of the indications are there for a scam yet u are still concerned about buying this pup and asking other their opinions ? |

If you are unable to fly and bring the pup home with you,i think i would now put it all down to experience, and forget the money. It sounds as though you will end up very out of pocket and probably with no pup at the end of it. |
I just want to give a friendly suggestion: So please don't bite the hand that wants to help here.;) To OP: Please, for your sake post the link to the site and/or the name of the woman you have been dealing with. We just want to help you get to the bottom of this. We don't want to call her or beat her up for you!:p Just want to help. Just remember y'all...she is asking for suggestions, not for us to pick her apart for what she may or may not have done wrong here. I think she is aware now with all the comments that have been given to her what she needs to do. Now, the ball is in her court. If she really wants to come out on the positive side of this, she will give us the info we are asking for in order to help her. For me...I didn't know a darn thing about how to buy a Yorkie when I bought Daisy Mae. I was very lucky that I bought my baby from the right people and had a vet in the family to help take care of her. Being on this site, I have learned so much and I know what to do when I am ready to bring another baby home. ~Kathy:animal-pa |

This is the only Airline I like to use if I have to, and I do it for the cost of $200 which has the health certificate included ($40) , crate no additional charge as that comes in my puppy packs. But all Breeders do have different ways to do it, some do charge for gas and time .......I'm just 20 minutes away from the airport . o.p I'm curious to learn who your breeder is , I agree with the others and I would just buy myself a ticket and go pick the little one in person. ;) Good Luck...... Magdalena. |

Also I forgot to mention with many Airlines you can pay shipping on your end , when you pick your baby up. Magdalena. |
Where do you live? I hope you are able to recover your money through Paypal. I have several very good friends that are extremely reputable and will be glad to try to help you find a reliable breeder ruth |
I just shipped 2 Yorkie puppies Continental shortly before Christmas. Flight for each $193. Yes with Continental you do not need vet acclimate paper. Puppies are always in controlled environment. I checked all this out before I shipped them. This was as Cargo. As the gas prices rose airlines started adding on fees. Sue |

To the OP I bet she found out the pup is sickly, goes down a lot or sold it to a higher bidder so to speak. To ship at 1 lb pup is insane.. It could suspected that it is an unhealthy pup, being not yet 1 lb. Good luck! |
Never really heard if they got the 1 lb yorkie or not ? |
A puppy can fly before 12 weeks. I know most Yorkie breeders keep them until 12 weeks. But a pup can fly before 12 weeks, needs to weigh 2 pounds or more, and as for weather? A letter of acclimation from the vet. |
