Blossom is in labor!
 
Just thought I would let you all know she is in labor, no puppies yet, it may be awhile, but I know some have been waiting for me to post this. Will update you as soon as I can!:)

I've just checked out Blossoms X-rays, exciting stuff! I'll keep popping back to check on how its going!
I breed staffs and I'm always sat up in the middle of the night on puppy watch:rolleyes: on my own I might add-HE needs his sleep!!! YT is a great way of getting support, I might start a puppy watch thread in the brothers and sisters forum for the next litter (hopefully end of feb-fingers crossed).

I can't wait to see them!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE delivering babies!!!! My house is usually the midway point that everyone comes to for birthing babies (I'm only 10 mins from the vet) I think I could birth babies all day long!!!!!!!! Silly I know, but it's easier to help out others baby's when the owners' are freaking out, now when mine are in labor..........ha I'm a mess

No puppies yet:( I know she is in labor, but it looks like it may be awhile. She has been pacing, not eating since 2 this morning. I will keep you updated:)

have you run this by your vet? That's a long time to pace. Does she seem to be in any distress/ is she panting?

Oh boy, the waiting part is so hard. I say the first pup will enter the world at 3:15 this afternoon!

Lawd-a-mercy I'm soooo excited! I think Blossom is just so adorable (not to mention the lucky papa)!! I can't wait to see their little ones. Hope all goes well and I'll be checking back! :D

Yes she is just in the first stage of labor since this morning he said, not to panic, this is her first litter .:)

I have to tell you guys something funny in a way, I feel asleep for a couple of hours this morning after I realized it was the first stage, so guess what I dreamed about, puppies, I dream we had a white one, a brown one, white & brown, and a red & black, black, & somehow my ex was in the dream helping me, scared me to death, I woke up looking for puppies.:rolleyes:

Kim, How is Blossom doing? Any puppies yet? Hope all is going well. Please update us when you get the chance.
I can't wait to see the new arrivals once they get here!!

Destiny took forever to deliver her pups this time around as well.
I fell asleep when she was in the first stage of labor and I dreamed she had the pups and they were all the size of my thumb and I was so worried about their size. I woke up looking for teeny little puppies, lol.

Isn't that so funny, nothing yet, she started panting and nesting for about a couple of minutes off and on, now she is just laying there with her butt up, :rolleyes: its going to be along day, I keep thinking its time when she starts doing it, then she will lay back down:)

Maybe Blossom is waiting for Rosie to go into labor as well.....to get a little competition going...LOL!:D Last night(1:30am) Rosie sat up in bed(out of a dead sleep) and wanted to bolt off of our bed. I quickly took her and placed her on the floor. She ran to her little whelping area that I have set up for her.....dug some and then 5 minutes later wanted up in bed with me! I think that she occasionally gets Braxton Hix contractions...I know that pregnant humans get these....haven't heard about them in dogs, but it sounds logical.

What has Blossom's temp been reading lately?

Well, I'm off with Rosie to go pick my daughter up from school! I will be checking back! Go, Blossom, Go!

Her temp has been 98.6 to 99.2 for two days, I think Blossom has decided she isn't going to have them, she has been sleeping most of the last few hours, she will get up walk alittle then she is back in her playpen, I called the vet, and the girl said she would talk to him, but I haven't heard anything, she isn't in any pain, or pushing so I have a feeling this is going to last all time. :)
