Why not find a reputable breeder who isn't a broker and doesn't advertise teacups, etc and does give health guarantees that they will honor? And is honest about their dogs and knows their lines very well? |

Unfortunately, people that are 'label' consious don't care if they are buying plant pots, clothing items, or live animals like a 'teacup' Yorkie. Unfortunately, the tiny yorkie is not actually an accessory like a bracelet but actually requires a lot of extra care, cannot be carted around in a bag all day. Unfortunately, many with this type of personality soon lose interest in their purchases including a puppy especially when it poops and guess what, poop stinks. All that is why I will never entertain the idea of selling to someone purposely looking for a 'teacup' or want as small as they can find despite my warnings. Yes, occasionally I have ended up with something that is 3 1/2 to less than 5 lbs full size, but I never breed purposely for them and they don't go anywhere until about a year old, already spay/neutered, health checked. |
Very True Even the man that I met at the vet's office with his tiny yorkie has to worry about hypoglycemia and anything else that comes up. It's suppose to be less than two pound full grown. But, I guess they wanted a "teaspoon" and paid the price. He regrets it... I don't think people really think about it before they jump into buying such a small dog....and spending so much money... He said that out of the whole litter, his was suppose to be the healthiest... |
OMG!!! I could see my husbad if I told him I found a puppy that we have to make payments on!!!:eek: I think she charges so much to pay for her meds...She's insane!!! $7000.00 for a puppy who is not champion sired or have champions in their Bloodline... Did'nt you love the way her site glitters, it's from all the gold she's charging for her puppies!! The way our economy is and people pay that for a puppy???? I feel sorry for the little darlings. I'd stay clear of her, She seems to be in it for the $$$ and not for the LOVE of the breed!!!!! How VERY sad....:twocents::cry2: |
I decided to check out Courtash yorkies. I guess she isn't getting her prices. Check out this ad on Kijiji yorkie male pup - Denver Dogs & Puppies For Sale - Kijiji Denver, Colorado Gets really interesting when you click on View Posters other ads at the bottom of that ad. Kijiji : Poster's Ads. |
Lol That's funny! $650 - $700 is a Biggggg difference from her website of $6500 - $7000 for a puppy. Like I said in an earlier post, someone told me that she never receives that much, but actually places that price on her website after the pup has sold. It does give people the impression that her future pups are "valued" that much more than others and some people may actually be willing to pay the price. Her prices posted on puppyfind.com for the exact same puppies are alot higher. Very inconsistent. Puppyfind.com |
You know I thought the same thing, I don't think anyone should be selling a yorkie for $6,000.00 . Unless they poop gold turds, geez |
Did u see that there too same ad ...trade the yorkie for a quad??? What the heck ! Kijiji : Poster's Ads. Quote:

As far as I know, the only time a dog is sold for over $5000 (and sometimes more) is if it is a Champion (possibly multi-CH, ROM, ROMX), has an outstanding pedigree, is high profile (on magazines, calendars, articles etc.) and in high demand by other breeders. I don't believe any of her dogs meet any of these... |

I purchased a healthy 2.5lb yorkie from Teddybear faces!!! I have purchased a healthy 2.5lb Yorkie from Teddy bear Faces! Let me start by saying they are truly wonderful too there dogs. They don't have all the info on the site because they want you to contact them if you’re interested. They do refuse to give you a dog if they feel that you can't provide a good home. There just like any reputable breeder they do want to make sure your going to take care of their dogs. AKC sent me papers that showed both her parent are champion show dogs. I can understand allot of people wouldn't pay that much for a dog but that’s people's choice. I flew to LA where Teddy bear Faces is located and saw how clean and caring they are. They are very welcome to it! You just really need to communicate with the owner if you’re truly interested. I've talked to many Reputable breeder and allot of them will up the price on a smaller dog because that’s what most people want. I'm not speaking for everyone but I bought from Teddy Bear Faces and I couldn't be happier! |
