| ![]() What were the shots for? Did she ever pass the placenta? I'm so glad to hear you are keeping the baby. If you do plan on breeding her again please please wait for two more heat cycles, or one year. Can you imagine (I know your not a female) but having a baby and as soon as you body recovers from birthing and you just finish raising a baby you have to start all over again. Give her some breathing time afterward to just be a dog again instead of a mommy before you breed her again. I have a daughter and I can't imagine getting pregnant again right after she was born. I think it's terrible those breeders that breed their dogs heat after heat after heat. How draining. Again good luck! I can't wait to see pictures!

| ![]() he weighed 5.4 oz. Good luck to you on your upcoming birth. Is this a big weight or normal or small? is this your first time too? I don't plan on breeding her much. Maybe one more time and thats it before i have her fixed. my mom reallys wants one (her boy is the daddy) and she wants a girl. Abbey is just so sweet. took her out to pee and she ran to the puppy then to me then puppy then me. like she couldn't choose who she wanted to be with. thats says a lot to me. and riding back from work with her and scooter in a box, she moved to the other side of box so she could see me while i was driving. why can't humans be more lovable and kind like our furry family? |

| ![]() So sweet! That picture is making me really anxious (or maybe it's just plain nervous!) for my Lilah to have her babies! Only about a week to go. It's our first time, and my husband says I'm more nervous about her than I was before I delivered any of our kids! lol Again, congrats on the little guy, and I'm glad your girl is doing so well! |

| ![]() congrats he's adorable. It brings me back. I can't believe my Teddy is already 6 mths old it seems like just yesterday I was holding him in the palm of my hand. Sounds like a good weight to me with only one baby. Bridgette had three babies and they were 3ozs 3.5ozs and 4ozs I wasn't going to breed my Bridgette any more but I am a part of a local yorkie meet up and everyone is begging me too because they love Teddy so much! We are going to use the same sire and breed her next time she goes into heat. I still stand by only breeding every other heat cycle. Their gestation is shorter but they are tiny little dogs and I am sure passing multiple babies is a lot harder on the body than one like with us. I think with their size and the fact that they have multiples makes it about the same that the fact that we go nine months. I know I have a daughter. And I still have nightmares about the pain of delivery. We want another baby but my body has a hard time with carrying a child. I hemorrhaged with my daughter then we tried again I had a miscarriage and i hemorrhaged. My husband is afraid I wont make it through another birth. I've already had two blood transfusions. I guess because of what I went through I have a lot of sympathy for my fur babies. And they don't get to make the decision on weather or not they have babies, we make it for them. Anyway to the OP if you breed her again doesn't mean she will have a female, she might have another male or even multiple males. Do you have a home picked out if the next puppy(s) are males? My Bridgette had two males first then last breech the female, man she was so beautiful I wish I had kept her. She was the sweetest puppy ever. Anyway I'm rambling. Congrats on your baby he's adorable I'm glad he's doing so good.

| ![]() Just another Thank You to all of the help you gave me and Abbey. And good luck to Lilah and you when your delivery comes next week. It is a very memorable time, good and scary. But the puppy is so worth it. He is just so adorable. And Abbey seems to be taken to motherhood. She just ran our cat all the way out of the house. I make sure to lock Abbey and Scooter up in my bedroom when i leave to make sure Pumpkin (the cat) doesn't attack the puppy or to drive Abbey crazy. Hope you all have a great and Merry Christmas. todd , Abbey & Scooter |
