People are entiled to own, purchase, and breed whatever kind of dogs they want. The op wants a maltese/yorkie cross. She came here to ask where she could get one. If I posted a rant about how I felt about every topic brought up on yorkietalk, esp in the off topic area, I would be in trouble! It's always the same few "yorkietalk bullies". When I breed my yorkies, I will not at all be posting here about it for this very reason. I was honestly shocked to see the lady with the 20lb yorkie that just posted her litter didn't get her rights read to her by the breeder police. Its quite humorous the way that breeders will put down peta, but they do the same thing by dictating who can breed dogs and what dogs can be bred. There is really no difference.

And she got her answers...weeks ago, right after she posted and long before any of us "bullies" showed up. :p Still not understanding why some are trying to make it look as if the OP were victimized in some way...? But yet the member who posted some very polite info regarding a common myth concerning the health of purebreds vs mutts...:rolleyes: How typical.

By the time the 19 lb yorkie thread started, what was done was done, the bitch was bred before the poster joined and so what good is reading a riot act going to do? I am pretty sure if the poster had come to forum before breeding the bitch, she would have received some very sage advice.

Most of the time when people post asking whether they should breed their dogs (and this happens at least once a week) they really don't want advice, they want affirmation. I post when there are general questions re: the risks of breeding dogs (since these risks apply to all toy breeds), whether they should breed dogs without papers etc but I stay away from answering yorkie-specific questions. It is extremely frustrating to watch good advice being ignored again and again. I say kudos to those yorkie breeders who stick to their guns, defend their breed, and provide people with the advice they ask for but don't want to hear. I for one appreciate it, admire it, and support it. Thank you, yorkietalk bullies, from one of your fans.

Hahahah I just took a brief look at this...and almost fell off of my chair at the "yorkie talk bully" remark.
Those of us who truly love yorkies and yorkie mixes and hate to see the people breed them just for money are now bullies.
Whatever.
I always see the same types of people not wanting to hear the truth or have it be told.
Truth is a killer to some people!
So...please add me to your yt bully list if you have not already.
