| Feeding a pregnant Yorkie too much? Hi My Sassy that I believe is pregnant has started to eat alot. She is always begging for food and I was wondering if she eats too much will it make her puppies bigger? I know this sounds like a dumb question but since I am unsure I need to know. Thanks! |

| Often, a pregnant female will start eating a lot more food, especially if she is carrying a large litter. How far along is your girl and how much did she weigh prior to getting pregnant and how much does she weigh now? You are lucky she is eating well because many females will go off their food which can be very worrisome. As long as she is not getting too fat and you are feeding her a premium dog food then I would not worry too much. Just watch her diet and don't give her foods that will put unnecessary weight on her and her unborn puppies. |
