Got our xray yesterday!

We went to the vet yesterday and got our xray! I got to see four little heads and backbones, it was so exciting! Halle is pretty much sleeping alot and just kind of walking around and smelling of everything that she didn't pay attention to before like my male's taxi. I thought she was due the 20th but when I took her for her xray on what I thought was day 49 the vet couldn't see puppies so they did an ultrasound and heard heartbeats. I took her back 10 days later which was yesterday. Now I'm confused about the due date, we have the male and they tied after the first tie(of course) now I don't know when she became pregnant Do you guys have any advice for me? The first tie was 8/20 but the vet couldn't see babies on day 49 after that tie. So when can I expect babies? Any comments would be greatly appreciated! We brought a bigger taxi in the house to make her whelping bed in but she wants nothing to do with it. What to do!

im not a breeder ...but from what i have read on YT...you probably will get a better idea of due date using the last tie...since the vet didnt see pups when you think he/she should have....also from what i have read on here if you saw their heads and backs clearly...then you are probably less than 2 weeks from delivery....good luck ...sounds like you have a good sized litter coming....IMO...and like i said im not a breeder yet...but if it were me i wouldnt worry about it as long as she isnt having problems and it isnt 70 days from last tie....again good luck and congrats

I would say she has a week to go or less.

49 is a little early to get an xray, I have theirs done at 55 days. X rays should be done in the 9th week of pregnancy at 49 days you weren't quite there yet.

If you were able to clearly see the skeletons, then she isn't too far from her due date.
To be prepared, expect puppies from her first tie. If she doesn't have them on her due date then chances are the second tie is what took.

If I counted right, if she tied on 8/20 then she would be due around 10/23, which is 63 days.

Agreed...with the above poster. If their first tie was on 8/20, then her due date would be on October 23. I have a friend in fact whose female is due the same day. This is of course always an estimate; she could go a few days before or after.

One of my girls had a litter last year on October 14. She surprised us as she was not due until the 21st. That was calculated by the date of her first tie.

Thanks you guys I'll just keep watching her and don't worry I'll be very prepared! I've done more reading than I did in school and that's been almost 30 years ago I'll keep ya posted.
