Seriously, I almost threw up.... Ok, so Lola, my shih tzu, still will not stand for Joe. So I was assisting today, holding her up, holding her tail as well, and he had it....for a minute....then came out, and almost "shot" me in the eye!!!! No, it isnt funny, its gross. Ok, so I would totally be laughing if it were someone else, but yuck!!! I don't know what more I can do. He was in there for a few, but I don't think it got the job done. The did not tie, and I am pretty sure that the floor was more fertilized than she was, and my eyeball almost got it as well. She doesn't want him, she growls at him, but she wants Diesel, and he is in his kennel. Can't she just close her eyes and pretend its Diesel??? |

Sorry, I AM LAUGHING though. I just can't help it. You will need to reach around and hold him on top of her once he does the "extra vigorous" thrusting indicating he has finally hit the target. Just press him on top of her, he will expand and then there is nothing they can do about it! If she is really squirmy you may need an extra person to help you with handling one of the two. let nature take its course well i am banking on letting nature take its course.. do you really have to assist? cant you lock them up together with snacks like a honeymoon. maybe some aromatherapy or sex toys.. :cool: if i have to help, then aint no babies coming to my house..:) i would love to see a video of this assisted mating... but i dont think i could ever assist:eek: of course i said the same thing about tail docking... but i did it:eek: so if i dont get puppies by next year then maybe i will have to intervene :animal-pa |

cesar49, It's funny you mention a video of this. Back when I was waiting for Maggie to come into heat a girl I worked with wanted a puppy. Well everyday she asked me if she was gonna have puppies. I tried to educate her on the finer points of Animal mating but she kept insisting that I should just pop in a Porno turn on some Barry White and light some candles. Needless to say no matter how many times I told her that dogs are not like people they don't have sex all the time she kept insisting that if I did that Maggie would get pregnant. Mindierose, I know exactly what you mean about assisting. I tried to do that with Maggie and the male I used. It wasn't like he wasn't trying, He just had too much hair in the way. So I tied his hair out of the way. |

Ok! my sides hurt, hubby thinks I've lost my mind and my Yorkies are running around like someone is trying to hurt me, but damn this is a thread that I think everyone who wants to breed should read thru. I've been there and done that but Lord how I wish I could have seen the look on your face when this happened, wheres the camera when you need one. |
Been there, Done that. I recently breed my male, Rico, with , Victoria, an AKC bitch that was a little taller and larger and I had my work cut out for me. I had him on the breeding book, pillows, firm box. I had one of her legs lifted and her vulva tilted. It was quite the circus show. We were finally successful. Sweet victory. We all went out for a smoke we we were done. LOL She gave birth to four beautiful male pups. |

Many years ago my daughter in law decided she wanted puppies from my husbands then, 11 year old Golden and her Golden. AJ had never fathered pups so I took him to the Fertility Expert to make sure his sperm was still healthy. The vet suggested since there were many dead sperm that AJ be ejaculated for the next 2 days before using him for breeding. We decided since this was my DIL's idea she got to do the nasty deed. She arrived with cow exam gloves, safety glasses and a paper hospitol gown on. She wasn't trying to be funny either. We coached her as to the vets instruction and she was thourghly embarassed and of course we were practically rolling on the floor. Well AJ got really excited and knocked her to the floor and was attempting to have his way with Her. OMG it was the most histarical thing I've ever witnessed. That poor girl has not lived that down to this day. Needless to say this was the end of the dog breeding experience for her. (and her dog too) lol |
