I don't know if you saw my post in your other thread.... you are CLOSE to me. I am just up the road in Ridgecrest! I am trying to figure out where in Lancaster you would be 45 minutes from an ER vet?? ( I figured Lancaster from your zipcode) If you need any help just send me a PM. I am on and off all day. Is your vet willing to do a "scheduled" c-section? My vet wouldn't do it and even though we were pretty sure Sunshine would need a c-section with her second litter, I had to wait until she went into labor. She did end up having to have to have a section, but we still had plenty of time to get her to the vet. She had been panting for about 7 hours and was not pushing at all. |

I just checked her hoo hoo and its a lot more swollen and puffy, so I am thinking she is still getting ready for the big event. |
Well heck. Cal City is just down the road from me too.. about the same distance. Do you know where Ridgecrest is? It is just north of Cal City. Anyway. The vet I use is Crestwood Animal Hospital in Ridgecrest. Dr. Decker there is pretty good also Dr. Emmy Sund is good. I don't caRE FOR THE MALE VET THERE. Sounds like she is ready. I would be willing to bet that she has them before Monday. Have you had x-rays yet? so you know how many she is having? PS.. we will have to get together sometime after the puppies are bigger. |
I would love to meet up sometime! I have heard of Ridgecrest but never have been. My hubby and I were just talking we would like to take a drive up there sometime and see whats out there.:tongue008 I hope she is ready and goes soon, I really wanted to avoid the c-section because of all the complications and risks possibilities. She has had x-rays on her 57th day and all looked good and the vet said the pups dont look too big to deliver, but that was over a week ago. |
I am going to PM you my number. Please feel free to call me if you have any problems or questions. I have only been thru two whelpings with my yorkies... but I also helped whelp scotties growing up. My parents bred and showed scotties. You can call anytime.. I retired from my job at China Lake 2 yrs ago (early retirement... ) I am home all the time and am able to travel anytime if needed. By the way, my name is Sonya. PMing you now. Ridgecrest is way out here.. but the town has about 30000 people.. so it isn't as small as it sounds.. lol.. anytime you would like to come out.. just let me know and I can show you around |
Thank you! Ok here is the update. Last night she did more nesting than usual, even MORE clingy to me and her temp was 98.2 last night. I have been taking her temp for almost two weeks and at night her temp is usually the highest. I had her next my bed last night and she nested several times last night waking me up, her temp this morning is 97.7! SO, maybe tonight?? lol Geesh I hate getting my hopes up! |
