| Chocolate-Silver or Born Blue Puppies Please take a look at this link and let me know what you think about the two female puppies being advertised as chocolate-silver. I haven't ever seen a born blue puppy but these puppies look like born blue puppies based on the descriptions I've been given. I'm just asking for my own knowledge. Thanks for your help. About Us |

| They look like they could be blue born. Do they have chocolate markings like the liver colored nose? If they are blue borns not all of them have health problems

| I cannot tell by this pic but they certainly could be blue borns. Occasionally, blue borns will photograpg as chocolate/bluish and you have to see the puppy from several different angles and at different ages. Personally, I would consider these babies as pet quality only no matter what their color turns out to be.. JMHO |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | From what I've read on the matter, they all do indeed have health problems, most in fact a few days after birth, few live beyond the age of two. Health problems vary in severity, but all have complications from the disease, sometimes it's just minor issues such as little or no hair.

| Several years ago this discussion was on YT. I met the most wonderful family as a result cause I asked her to send me some hair samples along with the pics of her puppy. She was indeed a blue born and as far as I can remember, she is healthy. I placed a blue born as a rescue for another breeder in my area who wouldn't spend the money to have her vetted "if she ain't gonna make money for me!" That little girl is 6+ years old and still healthy. Those are my only two personal experiences with them. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Well, there are exceptions to every rule. I wonder if there is anyone who has a blue born who is over the age of two?

Oh, I totally agree they would be pet quality. I'm just asking because I've never seen a blue born puppy and I came across this website with the picture. I've emailed the breeder asking for current pictures and more information but so far I haven't heard from her. | |
