Didnt know she was a novice SORRY.And I did not RECOMMEND it. I was only saying that it is 1 way of detecting pregnacy early on and I did not tell her to do that.I said that is how I know the first month if they are! |
many bitches will loose weight before they start to gain it. Their pregnancy is a lot like humans. Some will have morning sickness while others don't. Humans are pregnant 9 months, dogs 9 weeks...with that in mind, 1 week for a dog is like 1 month for a human. Not very many humans I know that start to show at 3 months (3 weeks for dogs) but will rather start to show in the 6th month (6 weeks for dogs). I wouldn't worry about her size right now. I'm not a big fan of ultrasounds. While it is cheaper to have one done in my town versus an x-ray, they only saw one pup in Gracie and she ended up having 4. |
Here it costs about 120 for ultrasound and about 70 for an x-ray funny how pricing is different every where. |

That is very cheap must be nice my vet is very good though sometimes he does not charge for a visit just the meds or whatever he needed to do, he also did not charge me for calling him in on a holiday just had to pay for the meds, country vets will do that though around here if you take good care of your animals, if you do not take good care of them you will be charged for everything makes them mad to see some of these animals come in in bad shape and the owners have put off bringing them in because of having to spend money on them. I always help my vet when I bring in any of my dogs |
I heard that you can give dogs and cats human pregnacy tests! Has anyone ever tried it? |
