yeah i know and alot of it is sales pitch. i do know what you meam though. was wondering if anyone had purchased from them. they are so cute when about 4-5 lbs. |
I just looked on their site, I would not buy one they have Christmas layways. Hello its July and they already know who will have babies and how many. Counting the eggs before the chicken hatches. Really I would not get one, you might run into some serious problems. Also who's to say its not a scam, how will you get your money back if you don't like the ones that are available? I guess this is the reason why I am still not with a yorkie, lol. Julie |
They have a "tea cup" at 9 weeks who is 37 oz...how dumb do they think people are..37oz is actually over 2 full pounds..no where near a tiny!!! What a rip off. |
Terminology according to the site: Standard size 6-7 lbs Teacup size 3-5 lbs Tiny Teacup 3 lbs when full grown. I'm willing to bet the the YTCA would not agree with this terminology. We no longer have to wonder why the public is so misled by the time they get here. Teacup Mastiff anyone? :thumbdown |
lol teacup mastiff ! :lol tears |
I mean ok dont you think this person is trysing sales pitch vs I have the standard and smaller size dogs. I am not condoning but was just wondering if anyone had bought one. |
The name sounds familiar. I think it's possible that another YT member posted asking about Yorkieangel.com . I just checked them out but was not able to see the parents of any of these puppies. IF a person doesnt know yorkies ,I'm sure they'd think a 9 week 37oz=2 lb 5oz puppy was very tiny... I know the question was if anyone knew these people. But the "flags" "signs" are all over the site. I'm sure they have several happy customers and several unhappy customers that feel they were lied to... but you won't see that on their site. Genie |
very true ! |
Bad Bad People :mad: :!: Well...It all started when I wanted to purchase a VERY tiny Yorkie. I searched the internet and found a very nice breeder at yorkieangel.com. I read through their pages and after much thought I decided to purchase Candi. The total was @$2K shipped to VA. There were many delays when it came to shipping, BUT tha was no fault of the breeder at all! It was the darn heat. After a week and a half of looking for better weather, we finally found another airline that doesn't have the stops that the previous one had. WE finally recieved our beautiful baby. Unlike the description that was on their website that the puppy will come groomed and clean, she was matted pretty badly and quickly needed a bath. Also, she was listed at 17oz and when the vet check her on our second day of ownership she was 12oz! She was much smaller than the ad that was on Teacup Yorkie Puppies for Sale Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale Tiny Teacup Yorkies Breeder of Tea Cup Yorkie Puppy Puppies and Yorkshire Terrier Dogs For Sale California Breeders Yorkie Angel .com ! We also noticed that she had quite a cough and sneeze! At that visit she was diagnosed as having Kennel Cough, Giardia, and Upper Respritory infection!!!! We woke up the third day to find our baby covered in her own feces and convulsing. We immediately took her to the Vet's emergency room! After 2hrs+ their our normal vet opened and she was transfered their. At 10am she was pronounced dead and a necropsy was ordered. The death was caused by Hepatic Lipidosis which is liver failure that was cuased over a period of time. With all of the other infections that the poor pup had, she never had a chance the vet said. :( We called the breeder (Teacup Yorkie Puppies for Sale Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale Tiny Teacup Yorkies Breeder of Tea Cup Yorkie Puppy Puppies and Yorkshire Terrier Dogs For Sale California Breeders Yorkie Angel .com) and she was flaberghasted and sound very sad! You couldn't imagine the sadness on my end! She said that she needed to talk to her husband. (THIS IS WHERE IT GETS BAD). After many phone converations with no cooperation from the breeder, the breeder WILL NOT OFFER ANY TYPE OF COMPENSATION. So as it stands now, we are seeking the legal path. I will warn all prospective customers of Teacup Yorkie Puppies for Sale Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale Tiny Teacup Yorkies Breeder of Tea Cup Yorkie Puppy Puppies and Yorkshire Terrier Dogs For Sale California Breeders Yorkie Angel .com to be VERY WARY OF THIS BREEDER!!!!!!!!! |
sick puppies I know who you are talking about and they are very bad people. they make a living selling sick puppies to people. They sell Maltese dogs as well and the website is adorablemaltese.com I am persuing legal action against these people along with two other couples. They are running a puppy mill out of their house and I went on the news and did a story about it. Stay as far away from these people as you can. I feel bad for all the victims and all the sick dogs as well. for anyone who has been a victim prepare for a long drug out legal battle |
That website has red flags and bad news written all over it!! |
It's been well over a month and we have still to resolved our problem with yorkieangel.com. We were told that she would sale us a replacement puppy for five hundred dollars and she required us to fly to California to pick the puppy up. Do you know how much a plain ticket cost from Virgina to California. She told us the five hundred dollar fee was her cost of breeding for one puppy, can you believe that. When we told our vet the price she was trying to charge us for another puppy she laughed and said the cost for one puppy shot's dew claws and all is only about forty dollars. Also keep in mind they have already made two thousand dollars off of us. At this time we have asked them to sale the replacement puppy and give us half of our money back. They have yet to make a decision on that proposal. If they were a responsible breeder they would have given a refund imeditialy, but instead they have wiggled there way out of everything. I also want to add another detail that makes me sick they are trying to sale another puppy under my dead puppies picture. So even if someone purchased a puppy from them the chances that it's actually the puppy pictured on the net is slim. |
Hi There! I found these people online and have been emailing them to go and check out the puppies. There website is impressive but I am a little concerned because they won't seem to call me. I asked them twice to send me there address after they told me in the first email that I could stop by on saturday but they still havent answered that question. I am from santa rosa. Where did you get your yorkie? please email me at Ldish949@aol.com -Sophie |

yorkieangel.com About six months ago my wife started asking me if we could get a Yorkie. After six months of having to look at pictures on the internet, I said OK. She looked around on the web and found a place in Dixon, CA (yorkieangel.com). She called the number and on Thu Jan 1, 2009 we went to see the place and puppies. The puppies are kept in the garage, warmed by lamps and a gas heater. The owner, Cris -- a young man, rather dry in character -- answered all our questions, except when we asked if he did this for a living (which he does). Anyway, he mentioned that he was getting another litter the next day, which raised our concern about "puppy mill". However, he assured us that the litter was from his fathers female. We came back the next day and indeed my wife fell in love with the smallest of the litter. She was adorable and very lovable, would crawl up my wife's neck and cuddled on her shoulder underneath her hair - the puppy smelled quite bad and had feces (crap) on her paws - nothing a warm bath could not fix. The asking price was $1400.00 (way more than what I expected). However, if we paid cash, they could do $1200.00. Sheryl wanted to take her home that night, so I talk to Cris and he said that he could charge my VISA the full amount ($1400.00 + tax) and that the next day, when I came back with cash, he would not send the CC slip to visa and he would not have to charge us the sales tax. Next day, I withdrew 100% of our savings and drove to Dixon and paid the man $1200.00 cash. He made me sign a new contract but never gave me the original contract where he carbon copied my credit card number. We named the puppy Lilo... Saturday through Tuesday was the center of our attention. We bought/charged every toy, bed and accesory available at Petsmart. However, we were concerned because she had a constant cough, everytime she ate or drank water, she would throw up, when she went pee or poo it smelled REALLY bad and her energy level was WAY down. On Tue 1/6/2009, my wife took Lilo to Banfield for vaccines, dewarming, the checkup required by yorkieangel (in the contract) and to enroll her in Banfields medical program - total cost of that visit $260.00. Two hours after the vaccination, Lilo was below normal energy level and my wife noticed her gums were pale... so she rushed Lilo back to Banfield where Lilo had to be hospitalized. After a couple of hours and $300.00 more, Lilo was returned to us and the Dr. said she would be OK... he thought it was an allergic reaction to the vaccine, which would be strange as per the documents yorkieangel gave us, she already had her first shots and dewarming (or did she???), so what was she allergic to? Banfield gave us some medications and sent us home. We took it easy, watched a movie while constantly monitoring the baby... Lilo was sleepy, had trouble breathing and complained a lot - but these were things Banfield told us were to be expected. At 10:30PM, we gave her the three medications that Banfield gave us, offered her water and food, which she did not take (Banfield also said she might not eat, but that they put a lot of liquids in her so she should be fine for the night). At 4AM, Lilo woke up and did what she always did when she had to go to the bathroom. My wife placed her on the pee pads and while Lilo was going pee, she collapsed. My wife started screaming, so I jumped up to see what was going on... Lilo had stopped breathing. Being CPR certified, I did everything I could, including calling 911 and fire department (who do not respond to animal emergencies). Lilo died in my hands a few minutes past 4AM!!! With our hearts torn, we placed Lilo's little dead body on her favorite pillow and covered her under her pink blanket... the pain my wife and I had to endure between that time and 9AM (when Banfield opened) was unbearable. Banfield offered to do the necropsy for free and understood our pain. We received the necropsy results on 1/12/09... Lilo had lung mineralization, liver deficiency, spleen mineralization and immune deficiency (too many health issues to list). The Dr. said that her system was so weak and had so many health issues, her little weak body could not process the vaccines -- and even if she would have survived this episode, she would continue to have health issues and surely not have lived a full life (this was going to happen sooner or later). While we were waiting for the necropsy results, I started to do some research on yorkieangel.com and my wife started looking for another baby (I told her that at any cost, I would replace her baby - she was hurting so much!!!). One of the people we called mentioned that several people had called with similar situations as ours... they bought their puppy at yorkieangel.com and the puppy died within three days from purchase (should be called adoption, but this place is a business, not a breeder - therefore is a purchase!!!). I also found on the internet several stories of people who bought from yorkieangel.com and either their puppy died or the puppy was returned per vets advice and their money was never refunded by yorkieangel. I am not sure how this story is going to end with yorkieangel... being the reasonable person that I think I am, I am going to first give yorkieangel.com the opportunity to return my money based on "Bona fide" (good faith). If this does not work (as they are protecting themselves with a very well written contract), I will follow up by reporting them to every agency available, including: Better Business Bureau, Channel 3 News or any local news channel that wants the story, Solano County Health Dept, Police Department, National Fraud Center, ASPCA, pet-abuse.com and not excluding IRS, as they sell for cash in order to avoid having to pay sales tax. If after doing this I still don't get my money back... I already have a couple of lawyers revising the contract to evaluate a potential lawsuit. For those of you reading this and wondering if we found another baby... yes we did. A very nice family in Woodland, CA heard about what happened to us, called us and gave us their 13 week old yorkie who looks just like Lilo... only condition is to love her and take the best care of her we can. Olga and family, if you are reading this... thanks. So, if you are looking for a yorkie and you are considering yorkie angel - I strongly advice that you have your puppy checked by a vet before giving any money or signing any contract with yorkieangel.com. Thanks PS - If something similar happened to you - let me know: mouserodri@hotmail.com |
I was still learning how to use the site when I posted that. I have visited them twice now. The first time i was too excited to see anything bad. the second time I took my mom. She warned me about the way their poo looked, it didnt look healthy and smelled horrible. I think I will go elsewhere. Also, I dont want a little tiny girl, I want a 5-8 pound yorkie! I think I can find just as good of a female yorkie for cheaper. |

This is the E-mail yorkieangel sent back to me when I asked him to please refund my money: "Mauricio 1. As I previously agreed as a courtesy I would sell you a puppy at 50% off the price of the dog with no further diagnostics, spending or a report on the puppy you purchased. 2. If you wish to have a replacement puppy with 100% of the cost of the puppy covered we as a dog business are required to follow strict California health and safety law guidelines pertaining to replacing a puppy as listed below and in your contract. If you would like to take this route please have the appropriate vet type out a letter as to the details of the dog and how it pertains to the 3 paragraphs below. 3. We are required by federal law to keep credit card slips/information for 3 years so un fortunately I cannot just "give it back" to you. Your card was ran for authorization only and is still considered a transaction. In the unlikely event something where to happen all credit cards have 100% fraud protection and you are not liable for any un authorized transactions as per your credit card user agreement. For a complete replacement puppy I need you to send me a letter signed by the Vet who tested and examined the dog. The letter needs to clearly state that the dog contracted the illness or disease that existed in the dog on or before delivery of the dog and that the puppy was unfit for sale at the time of purchase. Please see the excerpt from the California Health and Safety code below for help. This is the section of law that regulates when breeders must give a replacement and how a purchaser must request that replacement. Please send me the vet letter as prescribed below it must include all 6 items. Section 122050. (d) For purposes of this article, a disease, illness, or congenital or hereditary condition that adversely affects the health of the dog at the time of sale, or is likely to adversely affect the health of the dog in the future, shall be one that is apparent at the time of sale or that should have been known by the breeder from the history of veterinary treatment disclosed pursuant to this section. Section 122070. If a licensed veterinarian states in writing that within 15 days after the purchaser has taken physical possession of a dog following the sale by a breeder, the dog has become ill due to any illness or disease that existed in the dog on or before delivery of the dog to the purchaser, or, if within one year after the purchaser has taken physical possession of the dog after the sale by a breeder, a veterinarian licensed in this state states in writing that the dog has a congenital or hereditary condition which that adversely affects the health of the dog, or which that requires, or is likely in the future to require, hospitalization or nonelective surgical procedures, the dog shall be considered unfit for sale. Vet Letter must include all of the 6 items below: Section 122090. (a) The veterinarian's statement pursuant to Section 122070 shall contain all of the following information: (1) The purchaser's name and address. (2) The date or dates the dog was examined. (3) The breed and age of the dog, if known. (4) That the veterinarian examined the dog. (5) That the dog has or had disease, illness, or a hereditary or congenital condition, as described in Section 122050 that renders it unfit for purchase or resulted in its death. (6) The precise findings of the examination or necropsy, including laboratory results or copies of laboratory reports. As per your contract you agreed to a replacement puppy in the event something like this would happen. It also states we do not cover medical cost which you also signed. Fell free to give me a call with any additional questions. 707-635-6444" As you can see, he clearly admits in his reply that what he is running is a business. I am going to take this guy to court and I am going to do everything in power to stop the meat market he is running. Anyone wants to help? |
First off, I'm sorry about all that you've been through. From his reply, it looks pretty obvious that he has run into this before. He's all about protecting himself. Not about the dogs. I wish you luck with your dealings with him. Hopefully you can get some justice out of this. |
I purchased my puppy from them in December. There were kind of off....and after reading all of the puppies that have died from them, I'm a bit worried. I'd keep looking. |
Sounds like someone different than who I delt with... I am surprised to see that you have had trouble with yorkieangel. My husband and I bought our second yorkie from them about 3 months back and they were wonderful! We love our new little baby so much and our vet even commented on what a high quality puppy we had found. We were recomended to yorkieangel by some friends who purchased their puppy last summer and also had a very good experiance with them. Their facility seemed so clean compared to other places we visited on our search for a puppy and they seemed to really love the dogs... Sorry some of you have had so much trouble, however, I would highly recomend yorkieangel to anyone looking for a quality and well cared for yorkie pup. |
This is just so sad, so sad. This is why these brokers get away with it. One tells you a horror story and than you get another that says the opposite. What it all comes down to is "buyer beware." With all the educational posts on YorkieTalk it still saddens me people continue to do what they want to do irregardless of all the red flags. |

Uh huh, exactly. |
I visited them before i found Giorgio. I thought, although some of the puppies looked cute, they were very lethargic, and had runny poop. The fact that they were kept in the garage when it is cold outside SCREAMED puppy mill to me. I did not buy from them because the puppies looked sick, dirty, and justed laid around. I would say RUN......RUN fast!! |
