Woogie Man | 05-29-2008 07:30 PM | While this is a 'breeders forum', I don't think it should be exclusively for breeders only. There are threads here where anyone's opinion is welcome as part of the discussion. There are some, however, that really should be handled by those with real experience that can offer meaningful advice. I've whelped and raised 10 litters of Yorkies but that doesn't make me an expert by any stretch. So far, I've been very lucky never to have had any major whelping or newborn issues so I can't offer any advice to anyone having problems I've never dealt with. Frankly, I'm just getting to the point of knowing what it is I don't know and am trying to broaden my knowledge here to better prepare myself for any future problems. It seems like almost any possible issue has been dealt with before by someone here and there are times when anything other than advice based on real experience only confuses the issue. There are some VERY knowledgeable breeders here and I, for one am grateful for them even if I don't always agree with them. Even when I don't agree, it makes me re-think my views and I do respect their opinions. Here at the breeders' forum, I know I've taken much from the table and hope that, from time to time, I've brought something to it. :aimeeyork :animal-pa :animal-pa :animal-pa :animal-pa :) |
