Update on Daisy
 

So after about 6 hours, Daisy finally passed the last placenta with my help. I tried calling my regular vet, but she was out and the temp vet said they were too booked up and to take her to the ER, which I was not happy about seeing as I pay for insurance each month so we are covered. After finally finding (4 vets later) another office that takes the insurance, car started and ready, and just has I was loading up the pups, I saw the slightest, thinest part of what looked like the placenta. It was sooo thin, I couldn't be sure if it was her hair. But on examination, there it was! I very carefully massaged her little belly and using a gloved lubericated (sterile) hand.I finally got it out! Thank God!

Both Mom and puppies are doing great! She's finally eating and taking liquids. So I can rest a bit more now.

:thumbup: Glad to hear your Daisy is doing better. I usually stay off the Yorkie site when people really need the help, as I am not experience with all of this. But I can definitely send prayers to all the mommies and their babies. Glad she is fine. :)

My Daisy, I calculated about June 3rd and she had hers on June 2nd. She had 2 girls and 1 boy.

I sat hours rubbing her belly. It is so sweet.

I guessed about three/four from what I felt. too funny

Whelping pudding
 

The one I have seen and used was

1 large pkg vanilla pudding ( cook and serve)
4 cups milk
4 eggs

cook and then bring to room temp to serve.

I do not remember who hard it on here before but it worked wonders for monroe. I also know otehrs have their own they use as well. But this one was always easy for me to remember.

Bridget is a stinking pill I tell you!!!:D Her temp goes up, then down, then up again...:shocked7q . She also gives me this look each time I pick up the themeter that says " you want to put that where???:eek::eek:It has been a roller coaster the last few days. I am honestly surprised there has been no explosion of puppies yet. Although I am glad to as I am hoping the longer they are in there the better for them!!! She is not tech. due till saturday, so I will keep everyone on the up and up. Until then keep sending puppy well wishes as this baby is uncomfortable!!!lol

Poor mommy!!! I hope she has them soon!! My Daisy was getting annoyed when she saw the thermometer she gave me the same look. But it was funny cause she had always gave me a look. She stared at me and her nose would wiggle (like sniffing but it was obviously moving). It was the cutest look anyhow.

I have been checking her 3 times a day, morning, noonish, evening to get a general read. Once it went down, it was every 2-3 hours, now I am back to just 3 times a day until I see it drop again. I know you should keep a good record of it from about a week prior to whelp. I have a chart of hers from lasst sat. so I just add to that, and I will keep it for the next time as well, to have a better idea of what she is doing.

Cleo had a single little boy weighing 6oz. Im miffed that she only had one, she had so much movement in there.

Oh well, he is thriving and is a cutie!:)

Just a quick note to let you know that Foxy Lady delivered 3 healthy baby girls early this morning. All babies and mom are doing well. The birthdate on the puppies is 6/23. She came early and she was only bred one time.
