I feel really bad, but I felt I had to get out of the rut for about an hour, so when hubby got home from work, I checked Yahtzee's temp (99.2 & still eating), asked my 22yo niece to check on her every hour, and we went to get a margarita, gone 56 minutes and came home to find a new baby boy in Yahtzee's whelping box. He was dry and nursing, so i guessed that he was born around 7:30p. Then, she popped one about every hour, with the last one whelped at 11:50p.

I wanted at least one girl to keep from this litter, but looks like I'll be looking to buy one.

Congrats!! I want to keep a little Maddie girl...but I know since I've said it about 80 times she'll probably have all boys too...:rolleyes:

Hi all!!

My Cleo is due on the 26/6 going from her first tie. We had an ultrasound yesterday and it looks like she is having 2 or 3 pups but the vet wouldn't commit to anything. It was wonderful you could see one of the pups spines, tail and head and another one you could see head on and see where its eyes are and such. I didnt think the bones of the spine would be so visible but you could see every little vertebrae!

Look at her progression, do you have any predictions as to how many pups are in there?:aimeeyork:

Hey everyone. I just posted a new thread on Penelope. She is having her pups now!!!!! I decided to let the Vet handel it. She is in good hands and hope to have good news soon. I will keep you posted :D

Guess what? Diva surprised us and gave birth to 2 beautiful baby boys yesterday!!!!! One is 3.1 ounce and the other is 3.2 ounces. Both boys are nursing great and healthy. Diva is being a great mother.

The little stinker surprised me!! She wasn't due until Saturday and yesterday morning her temp was 100.1, not very low at all. All day she was eating, drinking and acting the same as usual, other than being a little more clingy to me than normal. At 2:30 I had to run to Walmart. She was in my youngest daughter's (13 years old) lap eating McDonald's french fries which she will beg for incessantly. I checked her again and she seemed ok, so I left her with my 13 year old daughter, her 13 year old friend and my 15 year old son and ran to Walmart, which is 20 minutes from my house. 15 minutes after I walked in Walmart, my daughter called and screamed "mom, come home, Diva had a puppy in my bed!!" I ran out of Walmart and called my mom who lives 5 minutes from me and told her to "get to my house!!" It's a wonder I didn't get a speeding ticket coming home from Walmart!! Anyway, that puppy was doing great when I got there and Diva seemed ok, so we got her in her whelping bed and settled down to wait for the next one. An hour later, she was napping and still not having the next, so I called our vet who told us to just give her a little time, since she was not in any distress. 2 hours after the first baby, no 2 just popped out with 2 pushes!! He came out crying and was nursing before she could even deliver the placenta.

A quick check and I was pretty sure that was all, so we settled down and got both the puppies nursing again. Diva has turned out to be a great mom. She's very attentive and only gets out of the box if I'm sitting next to it watching her babies!! She is eating good and hasn't had one accident inside, although she has to be mad to go out to go pee.

As soon as I can I'll post pictures.

Seems like a boy month!! I hope I at least get one girl, we plan on keeping her if we get one! Congrats on the pups:aimeeyork: Way to go Diva!!!:thumbup:

Ughhh I wish I could find my camera...this is going to be awful if I don't have it when she goes into labor...I always take pics!!!!! :eek: Yep Maddie is on 63 and she only tied twice, once 63 days ago and once 61 days ago, so she can't be far off...she's acting pretty pitiful today...I don't believe I've seen her eat one bite of food...so this could be it...;) No promises yet. :p

Congratulations to all the new mommies! Way to go Yahtzee, Luna, Penelope and Diva! :cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:

Well...we miscalculated, Dori is due Sunday the 8th!!! She looks like she is going to pop any minute!!! She could not get comfortable today anywhere...We made her a huge bed out of pillows and quilt batting and covered it with a cotton knit sheet and she finally layed down and went to sleep..I'm wondering if she will even make it till then...her milk sacs are very full. temp fell today to 98..so we'll see;)

CONGRATULATIONS to Diva & Penelope! Dee & Nicki - squeeze those girls out! Yahtzee's boys all gained weight and seem content.

wow, I am so excited, for our up comming delivery.. I guessit is always a crap shoot when it comes to these guys, I know with them before, I had no notice, temps were up, then down, then up, for days... 15 days and counting...

what a night I have had. ifed my girl at ten and checked her temp. then i set her back in the big dog room 9she is the one that wouldn't stay in the pen). i sat down to read until about 11 or so. for some reason, i thought i wouldd go to bed about 10;45. I called her name so we could go to our floor bed and she trotting right to me. i picked her up and heer sack was out. i woke hubby and we put her in the x-pen in the whelping box. First baby was born at 11:45 and last at 4:00. We have five. four girls and one boy. three of the five came feet first and I worked on them forever to get them cleared out. Puppy one: Girl 3.6, Puppy two Girl 4.6 Puppy three Girl: 2.6, Puppy four: Boy, 3.0 Puppy five Girl: 4.0 i am supplementing the two smaller ones but they are nursin g some too. They were too weak to nurse last night. i gave them all one drop of Nutridrops and everyone is fine this morning. Mommy is being a great mother and loves them to death and that surprises. I have had one hour sleep from five to six this morning and then I dreamed i was suctioning puppies all night. LOL So Renny is passing out doggie treats again!!!!!!!

% wow, that is wonderful, and yeah look at all those girls!! Hoping to catch up with the boys. Congrats grandma!

Congrats Dee! This is Sadie's first litter, right?

Maddie is still hanging in there, she had diarrhea everywhere this morning and threw up on the bed...and she won't eat. She looks pitiful...she's just laying around, looking like it could be anytime now. I'm guessing today or tomorrow at the latest. She's the one I'm worried sick about so I've already taken 2 anxiety pills today...I wish she would HURRY!!!! :eek::eek::eek:

LOL...She sounds like any time now...we are still waiting too!!

My Lacy is still holding out. We are on day 61 and she is huge. She had 4 puppies last litter. I am so excited for her to have her puppies. She is such a good mommy. I will keep you all posted when it happens.

Renny must be so proud and I'm sure Sadie is loving her new family.

To all the others due in June.........I'm lurking quietly in this thread watching for all the deliveries. Sometimes I catch them first in a separate thread but I just want you all to know that I am watching for the happy events and wishing all of you smooth whelps! Wish I could be "on the list" too, but I'm still patiently waiting for Toby and Halle to mature. Next year I'll definitely be on one of the lists! :p

Oh my gosh...I have never had one do this, but I think I have cleaned up more pee on the carpet from Maddie in the last few hours than I have ever seen in my life...haha. I finally just put a diaper on her, she squats and does just a little tiny bit about once every half hour in the hallway...it must be because they're pushing on her bladder...but wheeeewwwww...I've just been following her around with paper towels and Resolve...lol

Nicki....are the puppies in the horns yet...i have read before that when that happens it is like us right before delivery...pee, pee, pee...lol

OH most definitely. She is digging around all over the couch, hiding under the bed (I had to close the door), and she looks extremely uncomfortable. There is one puppy lined up to come out...he/she is ready whenever Maddie is...so we're just trying to be patient...:p
