I read this thread yesterday and this has been such a joy to read. I'm so glad all the responses have been so positive. Okay, so my guess will by Thursday 5/15 at 4:23 am.

This was Lily's first litter. She had two males. The first one was breech and scared me to death. The second one was deffinitely easier for her. All is well except that she is so nervous this morning, like she doesn't know what to do next. She tries to go eat and drink but when the puppies whimper she runs to them. I hope she relaxes soon.

CONGRATULATIONS LILLY!!! WELL DONE GIRL.

I'm so pleased that she delivered her babies safely and so easily for a first time mom. She'll settle down , its just all new to her right now. Sometimes I hand feed my moms so they don't have to leave their babies. You could try it.

If I could make a suggestion (for those who don't already do it) to those getting ready to have puppies. I used the puppy training pads under Lily while she was having the pups. Oh my God, what a cleanup saver. They absorbed the "goo" and kept Lily clean and reasonabaly dry. When one got too dirty, I changed it. She was really good about me messing with her. I'm hoping to keep them under them until they started moving around more. We had Golden Retriever pups last fall and I wished they made huge ones for them. The puppies got all stinky with urine from the bedding. I'm hoping these will help to prevent that with my Yorkies.

I use them too. Makes clean up way easier and you are right, mom and puppies stay cleaner.
