| I Need the dirt on Yorkmont Yorkshire Terriers! I have a friend in NY who is having a problem with Yorkmontyorkshireterriers. I have another friend who Debbie, the owner took 6,500.00 from and blocked his calls. She promised a tiny female...he drove from NC to see her and then Debbie started asking for more money, on one occasion saying her stud had luxating patellas and needed the surgery asap. THEN she said she was in a wreck and injured her back and needed money. (the puppy WAS for $5,000.00) She then refused to sell him the puppy and he is now out of 6,500.00..... Apparently over the last few days, Debbie has told my friend she was in a wreck and sufferred injuries (HMMMM,Must be an awful driver.....) She also refused to show pics of puppies born already but wanted her to see the parents. My friend wanted a tiny Yorkie for $5,000.00. Debbie changed the price even higher after she gained my friends interest and tried to make it easy on her by offering layaway.......My friend became uncomfortable and said she would be glad to fly down and see the baby herself. Debbie did NOT like this and conversation apparently became short. I called her about 4 years ago. She had a gorgeous teeny tiny male and I was hoping to buy one to breed my little girl to. He was 3,600.00.................Well, I found out he had 1 TESTICLE and she STILL insisted that he would be good to stud regardless and said just because he had 1 testicle didn't mean he would produce pups with 1 testicle and if that was my concer that I could sell his puppies without breeding rights. ***I DO NOT WANT HER TO TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.....PLEASE..PLEASE, CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME DIRT ON THIS LADY. ANY BAD EXPERIENCES OR DO OTHER BREEDERS KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HER REPUTATION THAT WILL HELP? |

| Well since I'm generally in that kind of mood tonight I'm just going to say it I do not think it's in good taste to "WANT" dirt on anyone...breeder or not. The facts usually come out either way, I am sure many of you reading agree. I am not saying you/they haven't had a bad experience. And I hope all gets resolved. It's a little confusing but I think I might have a bit of the picture I don't know anything about the breeder you mentioned personally. Good luck to you and your friend. |

| I feel so bad for your friend. I could totally see giving a breeder more money if they said they needed it for you to get the puppy. Sometimes you just want the darn puppy you have your heart set on! It sounds like he should start looking into legal action. Also, if he posts his experience on badbreeder.org, ripoffreport.com, also have him sign up for YT and contact the Better Business Bureau. The more places he puts the word out the better! Plus, he's more likely to get his money back. I've been in that type of situation. Usually it's not just you it happens to, there will be others out there. I posted a bad review about a breeder and received a letter from their lawyer. I called up the lawyer and told them I would not recant my review because it was true! You can't let people get away with this type of stuff. If more people stand up to unethical, greedy breeders it will save so many people and innocent puppies out there. I haven't dealt with this breeder in particular, I always thought they had gorgeous dogs(but the price tags were OMG high). Please make sure your friend gets a lawyer and starts getting the word out there on what happened to him.

| Thanks everyone.... I personally have no problem paying top dollar for exceptional quality. Regardless as to where anyone buys a Yorkie or ANY animal, research is very very important. As for the breeder I was asking about- Her AKC priveledges have been suspended for one of the lines of her dogs because DNA didn't match what was listed on a puppy's papers. I have sent the link to Yorkietalk and highly recommended that my clients join and to feel free to recommend the site to others. I am not interested in a "smear" (or dirt persay) and apologize for the wordage. My main concern is that too many people are being taken when investing in a new family member. I am concerned that there are so many incredible breeders also and there needs to be avenues to confidently (or as much as possible) weed out undesireable and make it easier for potential parents to find these breeders. As Breeders - we all know how to find each other and how to determine who is credible or reputable. The vast majority potential parents do NOT- then they und up at places like Puppyf*n*-- or Pupcit*-- (there's so many!)-- I am not sure if I am allowed to type the sites names. I sure don't want to help promote them.... Have a great Tuesday! |

| I know this person, sort of... I had a very pleasant conversation with Debbie over the weekend and find this all surprising. She recently assisted in a rather large purchase I was making from a friend of hers, and I was impressed with her knowledge and businesslike manner. I can tell you the dogs I purchased were in her care as a handler for quite some time and they were delivered to me in excellent condition. I can't help thinking there has to be more to this story than what is presented here. |

| Yorkmont has quite a few for sale on puppyfind. She has all excellent reviews and a couple of tiny puppies for sale for less than your friend paid so I'm not quite sure why she hasn't sent him one. That's strange. That's a very large amount of money to not receive anything for. I don't think he should be wasting any more time and it's hard to take someone elses word for what happened without him actually posting. For that amount of money it's definately worth him hiring a lawyer to get to the bottom of this. It sounds like he'd be better off getting a full refund and looking elsewhere because he'd never be able to trust her. I think he'd be better off posting the review of Yorkmont himself though.

| I told him there are laws to protect him. There's too many people that just don't pursue justice. He said he just wanted to forget the whole nightmare. I however...don't understand. A $6,500.00 loss is not something any normal person should take lightly. |

| no it is not but really it is up to him to pursue his loss and reviews should come first hand not defending anyone here but i like to hear thing straight up and reviews are for those that have actually purchased a pup and have first hand experience as to how they were treated what condition there pup was in etc people can get hurt by second hand knowledge . if you werent there than nobody really knows but the breeder and client |

| OH! Also it says in my video AKC approved Breeder. I am not an Approved Breeder. It was MY FAULT I worded it wrong. I paid the dues to be an AKC recognized official kennel. Just want to make sure there is no misunderstanding and also, I do remind everyone Yorkies are a Toy Breed as recognized by The American Kennel Club. Titles like "Tiny, Micro, Tiny Teacup or Teacup" is purely for the buyers who specifically ask for this. I'd just prefer to ask "What size Yorkshire Terrier in regards to Adult Weight are you looking for?" *I only mention all the above to you as there are some who do not believe in breeding tiny dogs. Every baby I place comes with a written 100% money back health guarantee. I am literally selling my reputation and to date have not had one single baby returned due to poor genetics. Thanks! |
