first time posting in this section.. need advice. This is my first time asking for help.. My kandie is prego..she is bigger then I have ever seen her at this stage.. she usually throws two puppies.. but three weeks before her due date and she could not get up the step in the motor home on our way home from florida.. I am feeling I need to give her something extra right now.. not sure what though.. I have bred her before and she has healthy babies, except for gracie that we had to tube feed..and does well.. for some reason I am concerned with her size.. she was bred to a different male this time.. but I thought it was the female who controlled the amount of puppies.. am I worried for nothing here... anne

It is the female that determines the amount of puppies. When does she go for her xray? Bet ch , you're worried for nothing. Bet ya shes having 3 or 4 this time

Anne I would not worry just yet,GO in and get a xray and then see what it shows,Just because she had 2 big pups last time means nothing. Dont worry, Can you feel pups moving yet.Was she plump before breeding? SHe is probably having a belly full that is why she is so large Last edited by 011011; 05-02-2008 at 07:18 AM.

Anne, Tif was so big with her last litter and we had 6...Go look at her pregnant photos on our website right before she whelped...Click on Tif' photo gallerie. I bet she's just got more babies in there. Have U put done here at YT in the May puppies that she is due? U'll have to so we can keep up with her. Lee
