Pups are coming soon!! Sassy's temp is at 97.9. How much longer til she goes into labor? We're anxiously waiting...lol :) |
well.... Usually 2-24 hours. What day gestation is this? I looked in your other post and didn't see :) But we've also seen a lot of low dips in the April thread only to go right back up Good luck |

We're taking her temp again @ 7 pm pacific time. Im going to take it every hour on the hour. Her last litter, she was 97.7 and had pups 7 hrs later! So we're keeping the house dark, keeping it cool and relaxed for her. :) |

My last female had a drop in temp at noon and did not have any pups till 3 am so it can be awhile..Any other symptoms that she has besides the temp drop? |
at 7:20 pm, her temp is 97.5. We had to wait a bit because we turned on the a/c for awhile and the thermometer was saying 94.5 which was totally not right. haha. She licking herself and she's hanging out in her whelping box! sweet! She's going in there by herself, she must remember it from the last litter. Her daughter keeps laying in there with her though. Her daughter is monkey see monkey do. So when sassy digs around, Mouse digs around too. They're inseparable. Lol. The house is almost pitch black. She's relaxing more and we're just letting her do her thing for right now. |

I dunno about this whole temp thing! It can be tricky!!!! Duckie's temp was at 97.7 three days ago and it has been 100.4 every night since....we might still have a few days, who knows! :rolleyes: |
I am going through the same thing I thought for sure it would be last night hopefully tonight for you and me I cant stand the waiting. I will probably be up all night tonight so I will keep checking in with your progress Good Luck!:D |

Sassy has had milk for 5 days. We can see the pups moving around inside her but still no labor yet. She's doing fine though. Her appetite decreased today. But she's still jumping on the couch. She's been hanging out in her whelping box too which is a plus. I took the day off work on Friday because I totally thought she was going to have them and I didn't want her home alone. So if she doesn't have them by Monday..Im gonna look like a liar at work...LOL! |
Is this U're 1st litter? I'm on another puppy watch too tonight so I will try to watch U'res and the other one too, might as well since I'm not whelping any puppies this year, miss it so much too. Sassy looks like she's in 1st stage labor. Her eyes are kinda droopy and she's staying in her whelping box. We're all set up in the living room watching movies..it's gonna be an all-nighter...LOL! :) |

Here is her Temp just before she whelped: Day 63: 12:36 am 99.4 6:47 am 99.5 10:15 am 100.8 7:00 pm 99.0 10:20 pm 97.5 10:54 pm 97.5 Day 64: (Whelping day) 2:51 am 97.5 5:37 am 98.3 9:27 am 98.3 10:20 am pushing for 1st baby our 1st puppy (girl) was whelped @ 10:44 am 10:44 am 2nd puppy (1st boy) was whelped, Yes on her 1st push she had 2 sacks showing, I could see them both, she was trying to pass them both and I called the Vet, I had to get off the phone with the Vet for I was looking and she/they wiggled around and somehow here came 1 then the other just licky split and they both was born at the same time maybe a second between them but when I looked at my clock it was 10:44 am when they both came out!! :) 10:56 am 3rd puppy (2nd boy) was wheped 11:21 am 4th puppy (2nd girl) was whelped 12:01 pm 5th puppy (3rd girl) was whelped 12:11 pm 6th puppy (4th girl) was whelped This may give U an idea of her temp and whelping. She NEVER got into her whelping box in our spare bedroom until that night before she whelped, then she was up all night on and off digging and making her bed for her babies. Let me know if U need more help. U're in my thoughts and prayers. |
Oh wow! That makes me feel better. Maybe she will have them sometime this morning. Sassy slept in her whelping box all night. It's 7:10 am here, still not pups. But maybe she'll have them soon. I hope she doesn't make us wait another day...LOL! She's doing good though. Just digging around in her whelping box. She woke me up doing that and I've never leaped out of bed so fast! haha. I thought for sure she was delivering. haha Quote:
