So funny... The vet said she thought there were four but that she could have counted one twice... they were very wiggly (which makes me happy~ makes me feel like they are all in good health)

She said that puppies are notorious for hiding behind one another... which would explain why so many xrays weren't accurate

But, it make me feel good to at least have an idea of what to expect. She had two puppies the first time and she looks twice as big to me this time... but as I have read that might not mean one single thing!

All I know is that I have very excited expected parents and I just want everybody to be health and happy

Again, I was nervous because I have been around here long enough to know there are some very strong opinions ( which I completely understand) But, I really would like to involve everyone because I enjoy so much reading other peoples stories.

So, here is a picture of my prego Lilly. The vet said according to her x-ray that she is due between April 7-12. We weren't entirely sure what tie worked. But, I am taking her temp once in the morning and once before dinner to make sure. Vet said to bring her back in by the 12th if she hasn't had them yet and he would take another look.

The other picture is of the whelping box my husband made. After reading many posts I wanted one with an open bottom so that I could tuck the towels underneath and prevent the puppies from being burried. I think he did a great job and Lilly really likes to sleep in it. It is right next to my bed in a quite and dark corner of the house.

Now we just have to sit and wait with the rest of you = )

Flaming dont bother me...I dont get mad I just know its THEIR opinion.
Doesn't make them right.
I personally know of more expecting puppies who wont post.
Just for the same reason you didnt. I sure wish they and others would.
Its a joy to share in new puppies...and I know some want to share in this.
But are afraid to be put down.
Makes me sad once again....
If someone come in this thread picking on anyone I will ask that their post be removed.
Your hubby did a great job...looks like you've researched...learned and you're ready to go

I know those things are horrible to read.

You did better than I did! lol, I'm 35 so I'm well on my way. And I'd be willing to be those eyes are too awful much older (PM if you want, I'm curious!)

My Nala is having puppies too...April 24 or so
I bred her as now ,as I didn't want to wait until her next heat and have summer puppies.
So hot for her and puppies in a whelping box.
Nala is a Morkie. And the sire is a Morkie.
She has BEAUTIFUL puppies that I am so proud of.
So thats my secret...only a couple on here know.
They are NOT mutts and they are not in shelters...
They are wonderful lovable dogs
So now everybody knows.
I felt like a hypocrite telling everyone dont be afraid to post

Yikes don't say that!

The vet did say they could hide behind one another and not to be surprised if she was wrong... Lilly only weighs 6lbs (pre-pregnancy) I hope for her sake she doesn't have that many, but she does seem rather LARGE and in CHARGE at the moment

Hmmmm... if she has that many maybe one can stay (my husband would love that ~ although he did say if he doesn't LOVE and TRUST the new parents to be then he would rather they stay here with us!)

Heck I already convinced myself that they were all leaving this time... and my kids... "Houston we have a problem!"

Thank you... I fell in love with this place when I was trying to find Lilly almost three years ago. I have learned so many things and get the best support when I have questions. Nobody knows a yorkie like thousands of yorkie owners!!!

I keep running to my computer to see if any new babies have arrived... it is all very exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time

Hi,

Your posts rings familiar for me; my Sasha just had a litter of two three days ago.
Like you I was confined to my house for a week because I failed to count the days like I should've.
