I don't think she's going tonight...no temp drop or nesting, so I'm off to bed. See you guys in the AM! :) |
WOW! I just read through this entire thread....sounds like there are alot of puppies due any minute now!:p It may be an exciting weekend for all of you and for us here on YT. What fun! To all here with litters due: Best of luck to all of you for a safe whelping of healthy puppies! To Janet: Congratulations on your litter. I've been to your nursery thread.........lucky you to be the first one done! To Debbi: I know about the eyes going thing...I'll be 54 next month and I have a pair of reading glasses in every room of the house. LOL I also looked at the picture of you on your profile; you certainly don't LOOK 50! Also, your Morkies are adorable! When I first saw the picture of Nala, it made me think twice about what a Morkie was; and then thought yep, Maltese & yorkie. So it does seem amazing that she is pure black....just like the one pup also! And that puppy pile picture (sigh)...with the one little tongue sticking out.....PRICELESS:p |
Well to my suprise...still no puppies. She is on day 60 today if the first tie took. But her temp is back up to 98.5. Can anyone explain this to me ..why is it back up? I thought that once it dropped, it stayed down and she would have the puppies within 12 hours? I guess I'm just so anxious for these babies to come! |

Still no sign of puppies Oh well what ch gonna do. She does have discharge now. A bad night for me here gals. Ill post more later. |
I hope today is the real day! My husband says I say that every day though ("I think today's the day!"). Missy's temp this morning is at 97.9 & she had the runs when I took her out too. She also just started nesting, so we'll see. I'll keep you all posted. I keep hoping to hear of another whelp story & am addicted to this thread now. I'm at day 67 now. I called the vet yesterday (who is also a Yorkie breeder) & he said that he wouldn't worry unless she's showing signs of distress. Now that it's the weekend, I have the number for the emergency vet though, just in case. Good luck to the others waiting. Hopefully we'll have a whelp today out of all of us waiting! |
Shoot!!! Still nothing. These girls are being stubborn I see. Debbi, hope all is well. :( |

I have one of my new puppy owners coming today to visit his little guy, and grooming to do, so I'll be on and off today. Wishing everyone a happy and safe whelp! |

The temp thing can drive you absolutely crazy. I stopped doing it alltogether. If she is on day 60, you still have a few days yet. Once the blanket digging starts, you should have your pups within 12 hours. Another sign is that they stop eating. I didn't read thoroughly, so I don't know if this is your first litter....guess I should have done that so I'd know how much to run on and on ... or not:D . |

The X chromosone? Has anyone ever heard of a male only carrying the X Chromosone? I have had three litters with my male and each time they were all boys?! Is it possible that is all he can have? |
