Need Advice!!! I am supposed to be buying a biewer/yorkie saturday. He is a little male...but I really need a female but I thought that is all she had offered. Okay well I asked her last night did she have any females and she showed me a picture of her..she has a tiny bit of white on her chest but she said that she was 100% yorkie...What can this mean...could she havea parti i her? I don't know what to do! |
a biewer's ancestry should go all the way back to germany. IBC is the main registry but there are others. What kind of papers do she have? Regardless, if she is a biewer, she's not within their standard. Is she from a "splitter" litter? |
She didn't say that it was a splitter...I asked her abou tthe white being on the chest and she said that she was 100% yorkie...she is a wonderful breeder and has been doing it for 20+ years...so can you tell me some questions I could ask. I know the biewer/yorkie is CKC...and all of her biewers come straight in from Germany and have excellent bloodlines!!! |
nicki, every puppy I have ever had (five litters0 has had a distinct white mark on their chest except one. Usually, it turns to gold eventually. Does not mean they are parti carriers or splitters. Some lines just do that. Now those on a certain website with all white chests AND bellies are splitters. |

When I first picked up Diesel, I thought the same thing. I thought that he must have some defective gene because he had a tiny bit of white on him, lol. Live and learn. |
Okay so here is my next question...I am wanting some parti colors in my line..that is my whole point of buying the biewer/yorkie...should I go on to buy him or should I get the 100% yorkie...This will be for breeding purposes later on. |
A lot of yorkies are born with the white patch on their chest that are non-parti, non-biewer. If you're certain you want parti or biewer lines, you should purchase from a pure biewer or parti experienced breeder to be certain you're going to get that trait. |
if it is a true biewer, they should be ibc registered not ckc. |
It was biewer in him...but he was bred with a yorkie...so she said she could not register him with IBC it had to be with CKC... |
A yorkie puppy often has a white blaze on the chest, sometimes on a foot or two. I see your post now, that is a splitter. More experienced with Biewers will come along and correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure. |
BTW, I would want to see the biewers pedigree to be sure she isn't trying to sell a reg. yorkie as a splitter. I think the prices are about the same though but I'm sure you'll want to know all about the pedigree of the dog you're interested in. |
4 Attachment(s) Okay here they are.... the first one is the male with biewer/yorkie....the second is another little male from the same little...and the third one is the little female with yorkie 100% and the last one is the biewer....the two little males dad |
biewers are their own breed so this would make it a mix breed |

Hi What exactly is your question..I breed Biewers maybe I can help you. I don't register mine IBC and I'm not sure they register splitters or not but many German registries do. -Diana |
I just wanted to comment on the biewer daddy. He is gorgeous! Wonder what his pedigree is??? I would like to own one 1 day. |
