I just want to add one more thing to this: I've been to our local animal shelter and to others in the Bay area. Most of those homeless dogs seem to be pit bull mix or other larger breeds. I know we have Yorkie rescues (and I'm thankful for them) but I believe that when the general public talks about all those dogs who need homes they are really referring to something other than a Yorkie. All that Yorkie breeding out there seems to result in puppy placement rather than homelessness. After all Yorkies are the #2 most popular dog. There are good and bad wherever we go. I'd be surprised to find anyone on here that is a "bad" breeder or who doesn't care about their dogs. We are the "choir" -- as in "preaching to the choir". Bless us all, and may we all have healthy, easy births and wonderful forever homes for our puppies. thanks for all the great posts |

I just want to say this what I said was not ment to put anyone down. I just really think i.m.p.o that yorkies like many other breeds be it toy or whatever if it is akc tends to be a market and people jump on it. Not all get into breeding for the WRONG REASON'S there are many caring breeders out there but like anything there are those who are in strickly in it for the business and that is to make money and that is where the quailty goes down the tubes health attitude soundness the whole 9 yards. Just breed responsible. QUAILTY first not QUAINTY of pups produced!!! |
