My puppies died
 
Well I have some bad news.After 1 1/2 hours of pushing and nothing,I took her to vet er at 11pm.they said first pups head is to big.c-section.Well my little momma must of heard and pushed and the head crowned.the vet worked the head out and said he had a faint heartbeat and tried to revive with no luck,2nd pup came out feet first,head big,she just pulled him out with alot of force.same ending.last pup a girl I yelled let her deliver her,she came out fine and we are keeping her,so now 300.00 later and minus 2 boy pups,we will be calling her priceless!These pups weighed 4-6 oz at birth.her last liter weighed 4-8 oz at birth.I just do not see how it was a problem this time.I feel maybe I should of waited longer to take her to vet.Just alot of what if's.

I'm so sorry to hear about your puppies!! It's always so hard....don't blame yourself.

So sorry..I think I would be mad at the vet some. I don't care to hear about the pulling of babies. Not a breeder but it makes me mad to hear she pulled instead of csectioning her. Especially seeing as she saw the pup was too big to be delivered naturally.

Did she do any damage to your mamma?

yes I was really ticked off about the pulling.the thing was both pups where out and I saw them moving in the sac,then they took them to the back to revive them,came back and told me they died,I made them bring them to me so I could see.So I feel somewhere between delivery and reviving,?????? Just really ticked off.Then I was thinking this dr.was going to cut on my baby?Thank god that did not happen.Dr. still suggested spay,how do you feel on that?

Did this vet ever give you any indication before now that maybe he wasn't qualified/experienced enough to handle this type of situation? What is his experience level regarding canine reproduction?
I think that given the hard time poor momma had with this delivery, I would also have her spayed.

Oh Michelle, I am so sorry! Do I understand you right? Did the little girl make it ok? And how is Mommy? You poor thing.. I agree, the vet should have sectioned her, but it sounds like it was too late already. By the time they could have prepared and done it, the babies were already in trouble. Please don't blame yourself. I do hate to hear how the vet pulled them out though, but under the circumstances, she may have saved your mom. Even with the weight being less, the heads could still be bigger. I am glad you DIDN'T wait longer to take her. You may have saved your mom by getting her in there when you did. Again, I am so sorry. I know what you are going thru. Love Mommy and that little baby.

no ,i called my regular vet who had an er refferal number on his voice male to go to these people,so when i see him this thursday,i will let him know what happened.

yes the first little boy had is mouth open like yawning who crowned his head.tonge pink.second one was kicking his little feet in the sac.

all I know is I will never go back to them again.not only that the c-section was 1,000 plus the 300 that i did pay for xray exam office visit.I gave them my credit card and they put 1/2 down on the c-section and told me i had to pick her up by 8am that is when they close with the remainder of the other half due.by 8am.I said the banks do not even open till 9am.can i write a check,they said no.I feel after that I should of just left with my dog,maybe they would of lived.they just know they have ya.still waiting on my 500 from my card to get back in my account they said they refunded.What a mess.

It is so hard as a breeder to know when to rush to the vet. I am so sorry for your loss.

my husband looked like he was going to cry when i came home and told him,he is so attached to our little momma he said we have to keep her baby and said this is just horriable.he was really mad,it seemed to be directed at me.I told him I just did not want to loose our momma.

I am so sorry for your loss. You did what you thought was best. We have to trust the medical folks to use thei best judgement. Hoping your baby girl is fat and healthy!!

wow I did not get home till 5am from all this.It is one of those days you feel like laying in bed with a box of chocolate.out of chocolate,but going to get some twinkies!!!

Oh...it wasn't even your regular vet...go figure. This is one of those tricky 'you never know' situation, but given the fact that you have experience breeding Yorkies (not to mention Great Danes and Dachshunds and Huskies?) I believe that you
probably know when to recognize what is "normal" when a bitch is delivering. I will be interested to see what your regular vet has to say abou this.

no I never got around to breeding great danes or dachshunds,I just could never find a breed I loved till a yorkie,I know that sounds selfish.I owned them,but then gave them or sold them,the danes are....well like horse poop

now huskies yes i did breed them.my father in law and husband are disabled veterans and I felt like I was beeing over whelmed ,so staying with the yorkies.

I Am So Sorry To Hear Of You Loss. So Glad Mom And Baby Are Ok. Sending Prayers That They Both Do Wonderful. Poor Mommy, What A Hard Thing For Her:(
