I am suprised they tied that early. Anyways, I would count the tie 1/6 (10 days from start of heat) and that being said, 63 days from that date (3/8). But thats just me. So keep us posted!

yea, i never had one that tied so early. so i have been a bit confused on her due date. the vet advised me that they know when it is time and so does the sire. it's nature playing its role. it is very uncomfortable not knowing. well at least i am a stay at home mom so i will be here.

That is true too, my Vet says that the male has a 'ready for me' indicator when he licks her to see if she is ready. But then again, sometimes the male is just being a 'male' LOL
Anyways, sending lot of support and wishes for a safe delivery!

....Well we got the Xray done today and the vet said she counted 6 maybe 7 behind another one! Wow! I hope we can get thru this! I never ever expected this many maybe 4 MAYBE 5 at the most. But 7??

;) :p My Macie is due sometime between the 11th and the 14th. This is her first litter and she seems to be the only one not nervous. Her belly is just now starting to bulge. She is having an x-ray tomoorw to see how many. Is it normal only to have 1-2 in the first litter?:confused: :D

We just got back from the vets and there are 5 babies. He advised me that this is a lot for a girl her size (5.6lb prior to preg) so this could take a lot out of her. He doesn't feel she will go full term and that it could be early. So we are not out of the woods yet.

Lisa, as you probably know, both my girls are smaller than that. Well, Kandy was four and a half until her spay a few months ago. Frankie was five when breed. They have both had two litters of five each without a hunt of a problem until the huge almost 6 oz. pup Kandy had the last time that caused her c-section. Now, kandy did go on day 60 on her first litter for me but all the rest of the times, they went right on their due date except kandy went over two days last time. if I were you I wouldn't worry too much. She shouldn't have any problems at all. BUT, to be on the safe side, I always start taking temps at about day 58.

THANK YOU ,i feel much better. i started taking the temp and it is now at 99.1 so we will see how her chart looks in a few days. she also had loose stools today. if we can hold off til wednesday,we will be looking good.

We thought mimi was due on the 16th but we think it is actually sooner...Any day now I hope! She is having 6...We hope all survive and are well. Can anyone else tell me how I will no she is getting ready to have them besides the temp drop? The other day I came home from work and she was hiding under the couch she would not come out...It just wasnt like her!!! I thought she was having the pups then so I put her in her whelping pen....but nothing! I guess false alarm!!!
