how do I get a breeders licence?:confused: cause i wanna get a breeders licence before i decide to breed or anything like that

Most breeders don't need a license to breed, unless your city, country, or state requires one. USDA licensing is normally used by commercial breeders and isn't necessary for those breeding on a small scale and selling directly to the public.

Plus you really don't want to become USDA Licensed. Most people try to stay clear of them and for good reason. You have to have a lot of dogs to become USDA licensed and I believe the dogs have to be housed separately from where you live and the conditions they allow the dogs to be in are ridiculous. So it really isn't a good thing to become USDA Licensed.

I have decided i accidently put decide on the first post i meant cause I wanna get a breeders license before I breed or anything like that. that's what I meant sorry about that

My sister never got a breeding license, to be honest with you, I know some good yorkie breeders, and they dont' have them either

Does your city, county or state require a breeding license? There really isn't any kind of breeding license...unless you are a commercial breeder (USDA) or your city/county/state requires some sort of license

Yes and a Friend of mine that owns a pet supply store told me that to sell Dogs/cats The stores (at least here) are pretty much forced (by the government) to buy from only USDA licensed Breeders. So basically The pet shops are Forced to sell Puppy mill Puppies.:thumbdown :thumbdown My friend will not do This. They do have HS visiting animals though sometimes.
I think that If you want to get Mills shut down We need to Change the way the Government looks at these breeders as Just raising ( Cattle ) or other Livestock:thumbdown

I dont believe they show morkies at shows. But maybe you will find a nice person to help you.

My hubbys Aunt got a biz lic. she just a couple of chis but all vet bills and dog food fencing kennels anything for the dogs are tax deductable.

The poster has a thread about her future plans to improve the Yorkshire Terrier breed by breeding with a Maltese...

Why not got to your local Animal Control office. They will give you all the city, county rules and regs. You can get an application for a licence if needed.
You could go to some shows and tell the Yorkie and Maltese exhititors about your theories of breed improvement, but you will not make it back to your car without a few good smacks up side your head...good luck

Who is being not so gentle?...The OP has asked many questions about Morkie breeding and I can find no posts where she has changed her theories regarding improving by mixing....if she is going to become a dog breeder and enter the dog world she might well get used to a sharp word or two...

This is correct information .. Michigan legally requires the 6% sales tax license.. so if one is breeding and selling puppies and or dogs from home it is best to have this license...
And if one is caught with out it will be fined big time!! Some from a neighboring town found that out the hard way...

Did She ask about Morkies in this thread??? I am not saying I agree of MIXING I don't at all:thumbdown What I am saying is that all she asked was about a License Nothing more. That other thread was closed and posts Deleted for a reason:rolleyes:

It is all but impossible to reply to a question when you know the poster agenda. The threads blend....

Of course, the poster is free to do as she pleases...but I would not go on a Breed forum full of Yorkie lovers and post the comments the OP has made..makes about as much sense and joining a Catholic forum and telling the members they would be better Catholics if they became Baptists...come on, someone needs to use some common sense here...

I just want to State That I Do not in any way Agree with Breeding mixes.
But I do still stand behind what I stated above.... If you don't have a (answer to this ?) then maybe you should refrain from posting in this thread.

I think I should just stop asking questions etc.:( and go some where else with my question or just forget about everything all at once and keep to myself.It seems like every time I ask a question everyone on here downs me by finding every little thing I say and turn it into something huge and jumping down my throat about it :( :( so i'm pretty much done I don't think i wanna breed any more if no one is going to help me. :( just fight with each other about what's right and what's wrong etc. etc.:eek: :eek: I didn't post threads for people to fight until the thread gets closed down no I posted them for a reason :mad: I post for a reason I have to admit I don't make much sense but that's not reason to call me young or anything I didn't post to have my every person torn part

but for those with nice comments and that actually helped when i needed it thanks :thumbup: :thumbup:

Hey Daisey mae, I believe she is wanting to breed Morkies. Although, nobody shows them, she might find a really nice person to help her at the show, maybe someone who lives close to her and is knowledgeable about breeding. I dont see the reason for your reply.
