| Lil Bit update Just wanted to update everyone and let them know Lil Bit is doing so much better. He crashed about 2 weeks ago and was pretty scarey, I thought we were going to loose him. His ears have tipped over but we will work on getting them back up. I feel so bad while he is teething those teeth seem huge for his mouth. He is such a doll baby. Just so happy he is doing well. | Thanks everyone, here is post below where I was talking about him when he crashed big time on us. I had to syringe feed him every 2 hours until he got his strength back. He has his sparkle back now. But I know it would be so easy for him to go back down. I just love this little one to peices. He is snuggling in my shirt right now, thats his favorite spot when you hold him he likes to be in your shirt. My Lil Bit I am keeping because he is so small and not yet out of the woods, he is nearly 5 months old and even as much experience as I have with the Yorkies, I almost lost him Sunday when he crashed and was flat out. Had I not known what to do, he would have died for sure if someone was trying to make it to the vet. I worked with him for over an hour to get him stablized. His sire is one of my Champions and his dam is Ch sired and both are over 5 lbs I would never think of breeding for that size. Too much heartache. I would not even think of placing him due to his very small size. I don't see any extra expense at all raising him all, just more time consuming as far as I do feed him more times a day and watch him like a hawk, I am still on the edge of my seat with him because I sure don't want to loose him, I love him to peices. I would be so afraid to let him go, much less ship him. Deana Prestigeous |

| Deanna, I am glad your little boy is doing well. I have a little 4 month old boy, Itty Bitty, and he has been having blood sugar problems. This is the first time I have experienced this and it worries me. I have had to revive him several times with honey and water. He is so active. I am having a hard time getting him to eat enough. What are you feeding your little boy? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. |

I went to feeding him every two hours smaller amounts. I mix up Rice Baby Cereal and Chicken Gravy This is human baby food. I mix it up and syringe it in a syringe that measures 2 tspooons (1 Tspoon is 5 ML) so I use a 10 ML syringe but I only feed him about 5 - 7 ml of that sometimes less depending on what he will take. In the beginning I was making/forcefeeding this I knew I had to get him going I also added Liver Drops the first few days after he crashed big time. I boil a peice of calves liver in a bit of water then I give him only the liquid in a few drops a few times a day. Don't over do because it will cause problems with diarrhea. I also started giving him lil bits of nutrical at each feeding. just a very little amount because I was feeding every two hours. he now has started eating dry kibble with Chicken Stick (baby food) juice and a lil chicken stick mixed up and heated in the microwave to warm it up and he likes this the best to eat on his own. Then I offer him about every 4 hours the Rice Cereal and the Chicken Gravy. He is doing good now and his eyes are bright and he has not crashed again. It has been time consuming and a labor of the utmost love for this doll baby I enjoy him so much Deana Prestigeous | |

| Thanks so much, Deanna. I will try that. Itty Bitty is 1 lb 9 ozs but he is thin. I have him on Gold Gold Lamb and Rice puppy but he just picks at his food. I have been giving him honey and water about 3 times a day and he seem to be doing better. It's just that he runs around all the time and burns up lots of calories. I hope he outgrows this eventually, I have heard that they can. He is adorable but I sure don't like dealing with the tiny ones. His parents were 5 and 6 lbs. I don't understand how anyone would intentionally breed them that small......too scary. |
