She will have no trouble finding a breeder who thinks her life situation is perfect for a Yorkie...or will even care about her situation...

Hey, I am here in south Florida living in a trailer..but people are quick to correct me and say they are NOT trailers..they are manufactured homes..LOL
I hope I didn't offend you about the trailer comment. I live on an acerage in a manufactured home set on a foundation, with a finished basement. And my home has been referred to as "nothing but a trailer" by a real estate appraiser.

How ever this gal just had trailer park written all over herself. She spelled "any' as "eney". Now I might not be the worlds greatest speller, but I usually get the three letter words right. :p LOL

She said nothing about a yard or a fence or anything like that. Just another mixed breed dog that is an 'outside' dog.

Unfortunately you are probably right. But I'm guessing she has been turned down and that is why she is looking out of state for one. Or maybe I'm not charging enough and she's just looking for a cheap one. Which is funny because here locally, I evidently was charging too much cause I got a lot of calls from my ad in the paper, but no one even came to see them.

You can not offend me unless you tell me my Yorkies are ugly...

Being retired in south FLorida is a completely different way of life from living in the Washington DC suburbs...in Washington, I felt sorry for anyone living in a trailer, with good reason, only the poor did..not here in Florida, you see now Beamers and Jags in the driveways..LOL

LOL....Pat, that was exactly my thought - living in a "trailer" in Florida, is not exactly like living in some "trailers" in rural America.


I would be honest with this prospective buyer, and just tell her you make it a policy to not sell puppies to those with small children, and/or no fenced yard. Could be (doubt it) that she rethinks yorkie ownership.

I don't have a problem with anyone living in a mobile home for a yorkie but I am honest and when and if I place a pet yorkie, I have strict restrictions with spay/neuter, children, swimming pools and if they will stay inside. If I have a show potential I'm holding on too I say I do not have any puppies available at this time but I am watching one for show and if they don't turn out then possibly I will have one later on. No need in not being honest. I had one lady not think I was being fair when I said I place on a spay and neuter contract I had to laugh because not only that she had very small children and I wouldn't have placed one with her anyway then she really would have thought I was being selfish made me laugh!

I wrote and told her that I did not think her situation was the best situatuation for a small dog. I did not give her any specifics. She replied that she planned to get a yorkie anyway because that is what her children wanted.

I know that I have been looking at some Really Great one Lately and there are some that look better than Custom built ones!
This is why I could never Breed. I would insist on home visit. to make sure it would fit.

Thank you. Yup it's a manufactured home, some would refer to it as a double wide trailer. There are some beautiful trailers out there with fireplaces and everything. But I feel once you put a basement under them they are no longer trailers.

That's what I decided, and I hate it when someone doesn't get back to me with an answer. I'm a big girl, I can hadle disappointment, but I hate just being treated as if I don't exist.

No I dont lie. I dont want my breeder to lose faith in me. I have kept in touch wth my breeder. Besides I think I have a very good home in which to raise yorkies. My only negative is that I have an 8 yr old daughter

I have to take offense to this statement. Just because a dog is an "outside" dog, doesn't mean it isn't trained or the person was too lazy to train it! I have had outside dogs before and the dogs prefered to stay outside. The house was too warm for them. Alaskan Malamute is a good example of an outside dog. These are dogs that prefer the outside and love cold weather! Becareful what you say.:mad:

People are so dumb...isn't her youngest kid 6?? Why would you buy a dog, esp. an expensive dog, just because your 6 year old wanted it. It's not like the 6 year old can pay for it or take care of it. And if I was a breeder I wouldn't sale to someone who had an outside dog either. I don't believe in outside dogs...how unfair to the dog.

Jeanie they're your pups and because they are you have every right just to say that her situation does not fit within your guidelines for placing your pups. Nuf said. :thumbup:
