You are correct as always pat. Anyhow, this thread was meant to post my joy over possible new babies for my first time stud. not to discuss pedigrees. BUT, I took MY OWN thread off topic. No one to blame but lil ole me:p i will eagerly be waiting for that 28th day ultrasound and then waiting to see what gorgeous babies I have. i know I am counting my chickens before they hatch but i would like to be able to keep a couple of girls out of this litter if they look to suit me.

You have a lovely potential, I wish you all the best with him and what he produces, which I am sure will be very, very nice. He is far from big...compared to Gator and should have no problems..

Big does fine if they are a great dog otherwise. Look at Chandler, weighing in at 6.5 pounds, he's the number 1 yorkie in the country.

6.5 is notbig IMO...seriously, Yorkies of 10/12 yrs past were BIG...I saw many 8 and 10 pound champions being specialed...so at 5 pounds I would say Rennie is ideal size today...

Against many of the other Toy breeds - a larger yorkie just is seen better in the Toy line up, not to mention the all breed line up. It is just a known fact.

he has been doing well at conformation. Major problem right now is that he gets carsick every time he rides. i have been taking him out every day this week and in less than a milee he is sick. Don't quite know how to handle that since we drive an hour each way to conformation class. any ideas?

He is still young. They usually grow out of it. You can put more air on him from the A/C or fan up and that seems to help my younger ones going for a ride for the first time. I understand and have been there showing a 6 months old and she threw up from being car sick. The air does seem to work. Let me know if it works on him too.

I can admire any size and I do like them a touch bigger...

Carsickness is a problem for sure. I had a male who got so sick he couldn't sit up after a few barfs..I got scared. People say ground Ginger works, no clue how much....my daughters Yorkie got sick for a couple years, then we hit on putting her in a wire cage..as long as she can see out, she is fine, a closed carrier made her sick.

I still have a yorkie that is 2 and still gets car sick so I give a half of bonine 30 minutes before traveling even to my 6 month old and it works wonders. I don't have to worry about throwing up :)

Conner was a year old before he got out of being carsick. Good luck on your new babies. I'm sure they will be beautiful.

Danali gets car sick too. The judge had me take her around twice trying toget some animation out of her last weekend but she just didn't have it in her. I was told to give them a ginger snap but I may try a bromine as well. She usually loves to show cause she's an attention hog, I really felt bad for her. She was so wet when we got there that I had to take the blow dryer to her. I was feeling a bit green as well from 3.5 hrs. in the back of the van so we made a sad little team. Dee, the best way to do it is just get in there and go for it. Take your guy to the special in March and let Laurie help you out. She's a wealth of information and a wonderful encourager and you'll have the best time.

I have dramimine. Wonder if that will work? I am afraid of giving him something that will make him drowsy. I sure don't want him to be asleep and not perform well. he is 14 months old so he ought to start outgrowing this. He got so sick last week, I had to take him to the bathroom and wash hiss face and beard before I could work with him in the ring. Does the bonine make them drowsy? I am going out today so I can get him some.

I am planning on taking Renny and Pretty Tail (Jewel Theif) both but now that I have bred Renny, those babies will be due about March 12th so that might put a damper on things.
