| Expecting? Okey I'm new here and I have been reading alot on the posts. I bought a yorkie that is 1 year and they told me when I bought her that she could be expecting, I now I took on a big responsibility when I bought her not knowing a thing about breeding but I have been reading on it and wanted to start and I thought this was a big ups, but I'm scared on what to do if she cant do it and all, but the point is if she is its her first litter and now she would be 8 weeks at 4 weeks I took her to the vet and he said that he thought she was, now he is not 100% so what do I need to look for at 8 weeks? she did vomit at around 3 weeks a few times and her nipples was swollen then but she is not showing or anything, what should I look for this week to be prepared? Thanks to all who can help. Christina |

| Could be a false pregnancy. Have your vet do an ultra-sound to see if she is pg. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Are you saying that she would be 8 weeks PG now? If so, and she's not showing or anything, then I'd say she may NOT be pregnant. At 8 weeks they would surely be showing and probably even seeing puppy movement. Maybe not so much if she's only having one puppy, but stil...????? I think I'd be taking her to the vet for another PG check. If she is 8 weeks along, she'd be due in one week!

| At 8 weeks, you *should* have no question as to if she is expecting. If your vet cannot tell at this point if she is preggers for sure, then you need to find a new vet. I would take her in and have her checked. If in fact she is expecting, you need to find a breeder neerby that can help you during her delivery. |

| keep an eye out on her because my little girl had one pup and she never showed. if she is 8 weeks in then you are safe to take her for xray to see how many pups she is carrying. take her temp in the morning and night and if it drops then be ready for pups. |

| are you seeing any contractions go through her body, do you have any help Keep in a confined area, you don't want her dropping those pups everywhere.....and you'll want to keep her in a quiet area away from household traffic after she whelps......some mothers don't want anyone looking at the pups.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Can you post a pic of her belly? From underneath, like if you hold her under her arms? (welcome to YT by the way ) |
